M6: Calls to witnesses on water filtering jugs

Hello

As part of a report on the Brita water carafe, I am looking for a family that uses the famous carafe to replace the countless bottles of water.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Welcome to Econologie!

Unfortunately I am very far and can only comment via the internet, but I used the Brita carafe which works very well, then the adapter which screws onto the neck of the sink taps which works even better and finally I am passed to the General Electric filter which is fixed under the sink with its independent tap which is much less expensive to use and is just as effective.

Note that I have an artesian well which gives me very clear water with a sulfurous taste and that I have a carbon pre-filter at the water inlet which removes most of the minerals especially for washing and preventing the smell of mold. .

The water is so good, as much as with the Brita that I find it hard to drink city water that tastes of chlorine and soil.

Hello, Alain G. Which charcoal filter (and type) do you use please. :P And how long before changing it?

Good evening Obamot!

The prefilter is a Rainfresh:

The case is like the: first at the top: http://www.rainfresh.ca/productinfo/wholehouse.html

With the CF2 cartridge:
http://www.rainfresh.ca/productinfo/cartridges.html

For the filter with tap for drinking water which is from GE (General Electric), it is like this one but with a filter only:
http://products.geappliances.com/ApplPr ... ku=GXSL55F

And the filter:
http://products.geappliances.com/ApplPr ... pstore.com

Sorry these sites are in English because I did not find in French!

I change the 2 to 6 months and the cost of the prefilter is + -6 euros converted and the other is + -20 euros converted from the CDN Dollar.

If that can reassure you, it's not specific to M6: this is the case with almost all journalists ... especially on TV ... a little big head ...
