Is it possible to reuse a recovery washing machine pump to make a semi-automatic garden irrigation (which would draw from the rainwater tank).
In other words: how many bars can it go up to?
I have a recovery of 75W (consumption, the performance should not be terrible).
Garden irrigation pump with washing machine?

washing machine pump
hi, i just know that this pump is just intended to drain the water from the washing machine so not much pressure but once with an older model the propeller or paddle wheel, "centrifugal pump" was rubber , we could not pump at high pressures, but we recovered a paddle wheel from a central heating circulation pump, metallic this one then blow of luck the diameter corresponded and the system of axis, we tested with a mano pressure 2,5 to 3 bar approximately, in short this pump came from an old washing machine of the 80s, I do not know if the current models of washing machine pumps are centrifugal, on our it is a pump diaphragm I think saw the noise it makes

Ok thanks for the info!
Yes it's a "100% plastic" pump so I guess it's a 0.3 bar model. I'll take a picture for you.
It is not a buried tank but a simple tank next to the gutter. So I assume it will be enough! So I will test!
I will do a mini report when it is done if it works.

washing machine pump
To have more pressure in recovery you should look in a recycling center for a dishwasher pump.

It is ten times more powerful, with a corresponding power consumption.

Really? Thank you for the info!
About 700 W for the dishwasher pump? You are on it seems to me nevertheless huge ...
200 to 300W would already be a lot ...

Ah well shit ... must have shit yield then
because our solar pump which makes 4 L / h at 000 bar makes 1W!
I would have to get one to see
Isn't that a permanent magnet motor in there?
