Drain septic tank

by Darilli » 25/03/19, 15:24

Hello,

I just registered on the forum because I need your advice. I have just bought a house which is not connected to the whole to the sewer and which is equipped with a micro station. Everything is in order according to the SPANC and the oil change was done not too long ago. However, this is my first purchase and I am not really familiar with sanitation!
Can you tell me how often to change the oil? I looked on the internet and found this:

“When the volume of sludge reaches about 30% of that of the primary settling tank, it is necessary to empty it.
In general, this operation is done every 2 years, but this frequency can also vary depending on the number of occupants of the accommodation or the size of the device.
However, you should not limit yourself to this parameter if you want to define exactly how often your micro-station is drained. It is also necessary to consider the number of real occupants of the dwelling. "
(the source of that is here: https://www.prixmicrostation.com/cout-entretien-micro-station/)

It's not really clear! How to assess the volume of sludge? What happens if we reach more than 30%? They say that during the annual maintenance, the specialist gives an approximate date but since I just bought the house, I don't have a date!
How much did you pay for your annual maintenance? On this site, they give a range that could not be wider: between 50 and 500 euros !! Not easy to calculate the budget in this case!

Thank you for your opinions and testimonials! Have a lovely day everybody

A well-designed and well-used septic tank NEVER empties (most of the material there is transformed into CO2 or other gas *) or very rarely (every 20 years or after not being used for several years). ... those who say the opposite are sellers of emptying or micro sewage treatment ... : Cheesy:

explanations:

Well designed = good sizing in relation to the living area and the number of occupants (the less the better ...), good spreading / evacuation by gravity ...

Well used = no "non-biodegradable" product like tampax or sanitary napkins, no bleach, no chemicals or aggressive anti-bacterial but also a regular supply of bacteria and water (= poo! : Cheesy: )

Mine has not flinched for 12 years (without micro station) ... I opened it 10 years ago to "see" its level and it was already at the max level (= level d 'evacuation) ... so the 2 years old I'm kidding! This is more consumerist bullshit ... after if we throw 1L of bleach per month in it, it should come as no surprise that it has to be emptied every year (there are idiots and idiots on Earth ... who did not understand the basic rules of biology ..)

Also I think that micro sewage treatment plants are an ecological and economical scam ... one more ... : Cry:

* You do not believe me? Think about anaerobic digestion ... : Cheesy:

Hello
I am building my house for 4 pe, I am looking for non-collective sanitation, I have found very good

* with earthworms: oversized 5 to 6 PE; very expensive
* with coconut fibers: oversized, very expensive
* in phyto-purification; even by purchasing the kit to assemble yourself ... more and more expensive 6 to 10 euros

micro-stations and other systems that feed on electricity and maintenance.

I would like to know your feedback on the subject ...
What simple system?

please
