Distributor of grain anti wasted and anti harmful.

by LOGIC12 » 31/03/17, 16:41

Hello, More and more people who have a little land around their house have chickens.

And these charming animals waste the grain they are given and in addition it attracts pests, especially large rats ...

To remedy all this, you can make a grain distributor, at no cost. No more waste and no more pests since they can't find anything to eat.

Just follow this tutorial, and do the same:

Hello,
Good idea.
I have the impression that a rat can also find the thing.

My system is made with a bucket of paint. It happened once a nocturnal animal used itself (rabbit?).
Since I moved the tray back 20 cm 'it has not happened.

hello, Since the container is high and suspended, it is impossible for a rat to do anything. Or even birds, because they have nothing to land on or hang on to.

It's very simple and it works, many have tested it and continue to use it, and the rats suddenly fled.

Hello,
the bottom of the bottle seems accessible to me a rabbit or a standing rat.
How high is it from the ground?

hello, The container is quite high, at least 40 cm. And I don't really see how the rabbits would do it, especially since it moves since it hangs with a string and then, there is none. The concern is mostly rats.

Thank you for sharing. It costs nothing to try. I'll make a return if the rabbits take advantage. :)

Wouldn't a simple cover solve the question of rats?

hello, a simple cover ??? but if there is a lid, the hens will not be able to remove it or put it back when they are finished eating ...

I do not understand the remark.

I did not understand either.
I'm going to sacrifice a pot with a large lid. I would make a hole in the center of the cover for fixing. I find it more convenient for filling.

What do the openings do in centimeters? With us 5 ct is 2 cm in diameter, I understand that you are in Quebec?

Sorry, but the video did not seem explicit to me and since rats can attack the grain, I thought it was from above, since the front door closes when the hens are not feeding. .
