Male or female "thread", nut or screw?
If it is a screw, a die or a vein can do the trick.
If it's a nut you can do with a tap.

If you do not have these tools, you can replace the tap with a screw which you have previously grinded 1/4 of the circumference. See the crobar a little approximate below : Mrgreen: . Finally, you need at least 2 accessible nets to be able to start the operation. The joint paste chips etc. are found in the ground area.

thank you Flytox for this tip
it's not going to be easy, because it's not a screw or a nut
it's 15/21 brass and there is not a lot of material

You can take another 15/21 fitting, make a cut with a hacksaw (photo left), then you enlarge with a fine file to make the "leading edge" sharp (photo right).

Try to make the notch pile pile where begins the 1st net which opens on the upper face. With a thread full of araldite, it works flawless ... with a lot of patience and round trip: P Finally, be careful to stay aligned with the axis of the fitting.

Hi bellad,

I had the same problem last month ... it's a bit of a pain to remove the blue joint paste but there is a specific product on the market if you really want to remove everything, see here: https://www.econologie.com/forums/comment-bi ... 14118.html

Ah thin, blue paste, green paste ... I thought it was the same product ...

Personally, I only use hemp and easily cleanable grease when I work in plumbing.

Sorry for the noise!

In the instructions for use or on the packaging or the internet or the safety data sheet, they often give the appropriate "solvent" to clean soiling from the product. Example, for Araldite it is alcohol.
