City: Ban 2 old motorcycles and motorized wheels?

by Christophe » 11/04/11, 12:01

A well feeble measure that will annoy some (all?) bikers forum, And there is a packet !!! : Evil: : Evil:

So hot:

a) AC passes and I understand that I could not come to Strasbourg VFR 1994 consuming 5L / 100?

b) Should we be reminded to the ministers that the ecological depreciation of a change of vehicle (car) is 150 to 200km? And on a motorcycle, in many cases, it is even possible that the change is not "amortizable" at all ... (see my case of VFR 000 at 94L / 5) ...

c) Drive a "worn" vehicle (but not too :D), So roll ecolo!

d) compares the average speeds of the wheels and 2 4 city wheels?

e) More on Paris 1 2 scooter will probably be ... placed at the dump?

A measure green? Yes moron!

Another measure which, if it passes, will plumb to death the image of ecology after ... yes, a non-catalyzed motorcycle pollutes more than a car catalyzed ... so the pot is hot !! This is far from the case of 100% of urban journeys.

So when the ban on short trips by motor vehicle (whatever it is) under 5km in town? Because there ca be effective in the fight against pollution ...

I would add sources and studies later.

Following the decision to experiment in eight cities in France with traffic restrictions for the most polluting vehicles (read MNC of April 6, 2011: old two-wheelers soon to be banned in town?), The French Federation of angry motorcyclists ( FFMC) castigates "a new ineptitude out of the brains of the technocrats in power" and denounces "the big nonsense of the government".

Following in the footsteps of the association 40 Millions d'Automobilistes which rose yesterday against this "socially questionable project" (read MNC of April 6, 2011), the FFMC denounces "what is akin to an imagined urban toll by our political leaders in the process of completely losing control "(on this subject, read in particular MNC of March 8, 2005 on the Parisian plan for the protection of the atmosphere: the City of Paris is losing control, because the most beautiful city in France This is unfortunately not his first attempt as regards the demonization of motorized two-wheelers) ...

"Forbid cities to motorized two-wheelers prior to 2004 and to cars manufactured before 1997 on the pretext of the fight against pollution? This is the new nonsense out of the brains of the technocrats in power!", Indignant the association for the defense of bikers before wondering: "while the nuclear industry proves unable to contain the disaster of Fukushima, while our governments are starting to exploit shale gas whose extraction will be extremely polluting, while we still do not know not what to do with our radioactive waste stored while waiting for better days, when our fruits are covered with pesticides, catalytic converters and other particulate filter waste from modern cars pile up without being reprocessed, which we bring in 'Far East low-cost products made with disregard for the most basic human condition, which greenhouse-grown vegetables turn around the globe before landing in our assi are, while employees are forced to stay further and further from their jobs and that the counters of the public services are closing one after the other, forcing the citizens to move further and further away, will we really prohibit us from driving vehicles over 10 years old? "

"A leak in the ministerial brain-cooling system?"

"But how many years does it take to erase the" environmental footprint "left behind by the manufacture of a modern vehicle?" Asks the FFMC again. "Why push for waste by sending vehicles that are still in good working order to the scrapyard? And what about motorized two-wheelers which contribute to a greater fluidity of traffic, take up less parking space, do not get stuck in traffic jams? and promote an occupancy rate (person transported / number of vehicle spaces) of 50% when most cars used in town are only 25% occupied? "

Finally, concluding with humor, the association wonders if it is a "new effect of announcement of a government at bay, a leak in the cooling system of ministerial brains or a real desire to harm our fellow citizens "... To be continued: stay tuned!

The French Motorcycling Federation (FFM) declared itself "perplexed" Friday after the announcement of the project to ban certain motorized two-wheelers in town, as part of an experiment aimed at banning the most polluting vehicles to improve air quality.

Eight pilot cities (Paris, Saint-Denis, Lyon, Grenoble, Clermont-Ferrand, Bordeaux, Nice and Aix-en-Provence) must experience from 2012 prohibiting circulation of the most polluting vehicles in their town.

On Wednesday, the Minister of Ecology Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet presented this project of "nomenclature" organizing trucks, utility vehicles, cars and two-wheelers according to their level of pollution, on which the eight agglomerations will be based. In this nomenclature, motorized two-wheelers put into circulation from July 1, 2004 were classified among the most polluting (class D).

"A 1970 Solex will no longer be able to cross Paris while some 4 4x2011s, which consume more than 20 liters per 100 km, will be able to drive freely", the FFM is surprised in a statement.

Likewise, the text continues, "how to + condemn + a motorized two-wheeler when it crosses a city in much less time than an automobile during rush hour and that in the end, it occupies significantly less space. on the ground?".

"How will cities manage to manage these traffic restrictions? No concrete measures have been proposed by the state to date," adds the Federation.

"On the social level, one can also wonder. Indeed, what to think of such a measure which will penalize primarily the less well-off drivers not having the possibility of renewing their vehicle?" Asks the FFM. .

"Tackling back to motorcycles, one of the most relevant solutions to congestion of city centers, for an uncertain ecological benefit, let the French Federation motorcyclist perplexe" concludes the text.

Hopefully the complexity of the implementation of the measure will it ever happen ... : Lol: : Lol:

ps: I created a new topic and not just a message here the biker-econologistes-t1934.html because the subject is too important ... :frown:

Yeah like the technical inspection at the time ... we fortunately never managed to impose on motorcycles!

So had to find something ... and it's even ecology that pays the price!

But I think that this will never apply ... unless you pay a cop at every corner ...
