A device called "anti 4 x 4" could be applied soon to us. I think it could be close to what exists in Germany.
To get an idea, here are some links. Those intended for French tourists traveling to Germany are in French:

Only older diesel vehicles (<Euro 1) will only be really affected.
hope this help

It's just to change the car the recalcitrant poor to change!
It is not because it is a provision that is insufficient that it should not be applied and the old Diesels of the "recalcitrant poor", (it would be better to say "those who do not give a damn ... ") also emit very fine particles.

I would still like to give a small restriction to all these constraints: yes 4x4 have nothing to do in town or in the countryside except for special work (forestry, earthworks, or winter access)
but it takes some time for those who have no other means, or who can not change their old vehicles
on the other hand, it forbids certain competitions that have the sole purpose of the show (races, rallies, ice races and rallies of vintage cars).
Let's get rid of everything that is useless in the city and especially use public transport (but it must circulate when there is snow, which is not the case at the moment)
there are plenty of ways to reduce pollution but we need a general way and not "candle light" initiatives
when we see people doing 100 m to take their children to school (as many cars as kids) or 100 m to go to work and that these same people go out by bike to swallow miles, it's about abberation
it's the life of the world that has too much money ...........

And why ?
My wife drives a 4 x 4, (at E10), it consumes less than her previous car (an R21 from a "good mother of a family"), it emits 6 to 8 times less pollutants than the standard Diesel from M. Toulemonde. It is already Euro 6 standards. So you have to explain to me why she has nothing to do in town with her 4 x 4 which is 20 cm shorter and barely heavier than her old car .... Strange ...

no more than recent !!!!!!!!!
Absolutely, that's why the application of Euro standards will gradually eliminate the automotive diesel in the coming years.
The 4 x 4 Lexus RX-450h is zero Nox and zero particles.

we must adapt the means of transport to the functions we want to do. it is a spirit of wisdom and economy (of matter, of conso) - because a light vehicle will consume less than a heavier equal age and technique
you can also get noticed by riding a trotinette rather than 4x4; but often what would not one do to show his class or rank in society

Absolutely! It was my wife who had the idea to buy a 4 x 4 (essence I specify). As the volume of loading is important it has avoided us to buy a trailer to transport firewood, ditto for bulky things, it has been avoided several times to rent a van. With Michelin Alpin snow tires no problem right now while there are others that are across or in the ditch. As we respect the limitations consumption is very reasonable. In addition it is surprisingly comfortable.
Of course, when you do not know you can have a different point of view, I understand it very well.
It should be noted that the steps on the sides very well protect the body of the door beating.
My wife's 4 x 4 got stickers saying "With my 4 x 4 I have bigger balls" and "Thanks to my 4 x 4 my cock is longer". Since then I have been watching the drivers of other 4 x 4s and 2/3 are ... women (with big balls and a long cock I guess ... ).
A "Sport" coupe is otherwise prestigious from my point of view, an SLK, a 370Z or other .
The gray cards ignore the 4 x 4, it is marked "BREAK".
Sincerely,
ML

Ben I just heard the opposite on TV: since the harmfulness of modern diesel is proven (see fine particle pollution links below), this measure would involve ALL diesel vehicles from a certain power .. .
See about diesel pollution and especially fine particles:
new-transport / filter-a-particles-efficient diesel-t5410.html
pollution air / pollution-by-the-particle-diesel-t1498.html

https://www.econologie.com/les-particule ... -4091.html
https://www.econologie.com/these-de-doct ... -3392.html
Summary of the 1er link:
Doctors, engineers or specialists are adamant: the fine particles, emitted largely by diesel engines constitute a great danger to health. We must act now and the means exist but political measures are lacking.
