Australian Road train

Bonjour à tous

The idea is not stupid, a pity that it is not adapted to our road network ... and to a dense traffic. : Mrgreen:

Dangerous for cars crossing the convoy or houses close to the road!

How can the driver control what is happening at the back of his convoy (I speak for 29 trailers), in case of puncture for example; the slightest blow of the steering wheel and it is the lurch ...

In fact the roads are straight and cross arid areas and little or not inhabited.

It is obviously inconceivable at home; the largest semi-trailers are already dangerous enough here.

Impressive. I knew the 3 trailers but never saw the 29 : Shock:

Bonjour à tous

Holy Clutch pray for us! : Mrgreen:
The start must be possible only downhill .... and again, ... and as said Martien007 it's impossible to monitor something like this ... super dangerous. In large desert areas, there must not be many cops to verbalize ...

By the way the train (29 wagons) behind the tractor, it's a montage ?? !!!

I do not think it's possible that way.

It takes a "normal" road train, two trailers, a kilometer to stop normally.

I saw a report once over. The guy had 7 behind and 1km to stop. Every animal on the road blew himself up by the buffalo!

Hello,
Here it is stated that the road train is able to stop on 50 m.
Yet, it seemed to me to have seen a report that spoke of 1000 m

In my opinion, 1000 m, it was for the old road train, which did not have brakes on the trailers ... :?
Brrr ... I do not dare to think about it ...

Thanks for the article: impressive and bravo to the drivers what a class!
are really talented :!:

To stop 50 m I do not believe in 90km / h, even with brakes on the trailers.

Look at the least car how much he needs to stop.
