This is similar to the turbo compound ... It is already applied in series on certain industrial engines ...

It's funny it's been 100 years that this energy could have been recovered in this way ....

Hello,
It is also since the beginning of the diesel locomotives that mr Cody (a name like that) used the waste heat of the engine and exhaust to make steam which made it run a steam engine.
I know one who does his electricity with a diesel engine, and he uses the engine water and the water-cooled exhaust to heat his chalet, he recovers the maximum.

why not add a second turbo downstream, it would be necessary to slightly open the relief valve to decrease its speed we could couple an alternator
and that would avoid limiting the 1st turbo

Well apparently there is more bcp of usable mechanical energy after a well studied turbo ... since 99% of new diesel engines are equipped with turbo the project is + to compromise ...

Not to mention the possibility of recovering the energy lost in the form of heat, if only via a thermoelectric battery ...

Drop the onboard thermoelectric conversion ... the (current) yields are far too low to get anything interesting ...

Regarding I am a limited 2nd turbo, I persuade that there is exploitable energy, because during my tests to recover heat by restricting the exhaust I doubled the heat of my reactor without losing power.

I find this great process it's so simple 6 kW of energy recovering it's huge and free and more since everything was lost before. For a long time I have been waiting for a system to recover energy to power the engine itself. Kind of perpetual energy machine. We can always dream !!

Hello reply to binbins4

this is exactly what I did channel the heat on the reactor and this can not be done without restricting the exhaust, again yesterday evening it is cooler here, I push the tank it still goes up to more than 160kmh , exactly like before without pantone and san bridle, the only thing if I hold it a long time in the carpet the water temperature of the engine increases not worrying, but, I had not checked it if it did not go up also before so. .
To heat the reactor is a clear improvement.
