It is indeed interesting. It is the combination of water / ethanol based hydrogen reforming with conventional gasoline.
This reforming is well known for fuel cells that do not wish to ship the hydrogen in its H2 form.

"Cleaner" engine
It remains to be seen in relation to the energy chain it uses: how does methanol produce? Energy required for reforming? what the gentleman says, "40% more energy", it's at the engine... but at the level of the reformer, it is endothermic, ie it takes energy ...
There is something to stay Reserve but not hostile of course.
