Hello,
There may be a way to replace the bubbler with a system like this!
http://www.basilic.ru/index.php?op=cat&sec=4&gn=243
The description in Russian does not matter. This is description of the inhaler which allows you to inhale all kinds of liquids, oils, etc.
Advantage is that the bubbler thus built can be very very compact !!!
Idea of new type of bubbler

no chance of putting glass on an engine mount ... the vibrations would destroy it quickly ...

It is originally a patented inhaler.
Bubbler used in the vertical position. It is filled 1/5 up to obstacle levels.
The operating principle is simple:
As the diameter of the passage increases, the gas loses its speed when passing through the liquid and produces bubbles. Obstacles inside the tube prevent suction of the liquid and stabilize its level.
This bubbler needs an external system to top up the liquid.
Some thoughts on improving the system:
Installation of a sieve or an obstructed passage with small orifices ~ 1-3 mm certainly improve the quality of the bubbles.
External tank using principles of communicating vessels perfectly ensured the supply of water or any other liquid.
