Melting ice: because of oil extraction ??

by Obamot » 02/04/10, 12:52

.
For the first time: the real cause of the melting ice finally known!

This is what a scientific study by two Canadian researchers reveals:
â € ”Professors Gilles Lemieux, geographer and Jean Vallà © e, soil engineer
(And published by the very serious Wordpress "The Analysts" yesterday).

Thus the oil slicks located in the far north, would have served as a fluid and would have kept the temperature of the ice cap lower, than if they had never existed. The intensive exploitation of these deposits would have caused a reduction in the mass of liquid with as a result a progressive rise in the temperature of the water in these regions, then that of the ice, which who would have melted them. In addition (but this is only my case) everyone knows that we use insulation in homes to protect ourselves from the cold in winter and heat in summer, so it is not hard to imagine the "insulating" effect of the oil slicks between the ice and the molten magma in the center of the Earth.

explanations:

Quebec â € ”World Press wrote:"After numerous satellite observations and taking soil samples and ice cores during repeated northern expeditions for more than 10 years, they are finally drawing conclusions that have repercussions even in political circles. Indeed, the sea ice covering the entire North Pole of the Arctic Ocean, where the northern axis of rotation of the earth is located, unfortunately suffer the perverse effects of the incessant pumping of oil in Siberia, in the Laptev Sea, in Alaska, North Sea, Beaufort Sea ".

Quebec â € ”World Press wrote:"Crude oil which lies a few kilometers underground has a fundamental natural role to play, that is to lubricate the axis of rotation of the Earth (see figure). However, for several years, we have observed that so much has been taken. of this oil that the axis begins to lack lubrication. This phenomenon increases friction and it results in overheating which melts the polar cap, warms the climate and raises the sea level. Unlike the bedrock of the continent Antarctica, the water in the arctic sea has an inertia that races when heated. In addition, this friction imperceptibly slows the speed of rotation of the northern hemisphere, which distorts the magnetic fields passing through the North Pole. . It follows therefore an increase of the Earth's gravity " [...]

Uh yes it is a plausible explanation at first sight but I remain skeptical about the inertias at stake: what does the oil do to the inertia of the underground rocks? Peanuts ...

And on the contrary, as it is a fluid, oil would rather be a heat transfer fluid than an insulator ... right?

Oil (from petroleum) is a heat transfer fluid used throughout the industry ...

ps: it is not a fish? Ah well if ... too bad you posted it on the 2nd : Lol:

The crude oil which rests a few kilometers underground has a fundamental natural role to play, that of lubricating the axis of rotation of the Earth (see figure) ........ .
The axle begins to lack lubrication. This phenomenon increases the friction and it follows an overheating which melts the polar cap.

That is enough! : Lol:

Hulot, at work!
Will pour a ton of oil on the axis of the earth every 6 months. so it won't squeak anymore.

Absolutely, there would thus be several phenomena which cumulate. Christophe obviously hadn't read well ...

... tsssss :?

Crude oil which is not desalted, undistributed contains an immense gaseous mass (intrinsic or not - at ambient pressure and temperature).

I remind you that sometimes oil wells explode and ignite, precisely because of the gas. It is a well known phenomenon!

In fact, there is often a huge gas field, close to these layers.

Agree on the fact that the fluid is heat transfer, but it is absolutely necessary to distinguish the oil with rather heavy molecules (diesel) and that with light molecules (fuel of gasoline engines).

On the other hand, everything that is gaseous has a strong insulating power.

Yesterday, it was proposed a volumetric meter on cows to tax the quantity of methane released into the atmosphere ....
Even more silly than the ball in the ass of the cows, because at least it would scour the gas ...
---
On the other hand,
the increase in town gas is real.
As the market price drops. If it's not carbon tax, it has the same effect on the consumer,
but not on the gazcopainsarkoz lobby.

... yes, but keep the "ticket" for 30 days.

Will there be one who will propose to put a catalyst to them?

I also saw a report on the new Walloon premium "pothole" to encourage the purchase of 4x4 and SUV ... to compensate for the deplorable state of Walloon roads.

Reassure me the Walloons, is it a fish? : Shock:
