Hello, come on! I begin.
I am 32 years old and I work in IT. I am interested in science and techniques of all kinds which should allow us (one day) to live in a world more respectful of our environment. The Econology site is the closest representation on the net (to my knowledge) of an ecological conscience that rejects neither the economy nor the sciences.
I do not recognize myself in the ambient "environmental" discourse closer, in my opinion, to obscurantism and mysticism than to a real progressive political movement.
My interests largely overlap those discussed on this forum :
- Alternative energies
- Ecological habitat
- Problems of reprocessing of waste and wastewater
- The natural swimming pool, the Zen garden, the culture of bonsais
- Scientific discoveries
- The space conquest
- The UFO phenomenon
- Artificial intelligence
- The robotics
- Comics and SF literature
- Economic and social alternatives (melting currency, social dividend, etc.)
- Genetic manipulation (towards a world of socially acceptable mutants ???)
- MMORPGs (massively multi-player permanent games)
My convictions:
I am for everything that makes man autonomous in society (autonomy to act, to think and to provide for his needs). I am therefore against economic monopolies and the excessive centralization of powers.
I also believe in direct democracy. I look forward to the day when we can all vote online for the big and small things in public life. Let us not let professional politicians who are busy preserving their achievements decide for us what is good for us. If you do not believe in true democracy, it is because you do not trust your neighbor. And if you don't trust your neighbors, maybe you don't deserve to live among them.
:-)

Welcome to you, the Surveyor.
Your project is very interesting and I invite you to keep us informed of the evolution of this association because I think that its model is quite easily transferable to other rural places.
In any case good luck.

Hi Marie
Glad that my study is useful to someone even if it is more technological access than behavioral, I think that will find all the same very interesting elements for your DEA.

Hello everyone!
So, let me introduce myself: I'm Moïra, blonde, 1.70m, 85/65/85, you can reach me on 08 99 65 ... how? I was wrong forum? Damn!
More seriously, I don't know much about "econology" but I find the concept interesting. I am not particularly an ecologist or an economist, I am simply aware of the fact that we are breaking the vital balance of our most obvious heritage: our planet.
I have very little scientific and technical culture, and I am often overwhelmed by the words of the community. I am more comfortable in the so-called "human sciences" and this is precisely what I claim to be able to bring to this forum.
So see you soon,
Sincerely Yours,
Moira
