Regarding Polynesia and the influence of human bombs on earthquakes, I think that it is necessary all the same to be in zones "sensitive" to the rather important seismic activity and that the bombs should be considered only as catalysts and if they are not released on a sensitive region, no seismic overactivity will be observed.
I do not know enough the seismological maps (apparently you know them more than I do) to confirm or deny your remark but in any case if it really happened be sure that the site of mururoa was well chosen by France precisely not to not have side effects like that ...
