Rules of forums and list of moderators

by Christophe » 17/08/06, 12:31

It seemed useful to clarify some concepts and rules of operation of forums in order to help neophytes.

1) Here are some definitions and notions for the non-accustomed to the vocabulary of forums.

a) A topic of discussion is a Topic
b) An answer in a discussion topic is a Post or Thread
c) Our forums are divided into categories ... (example: https://www.econologie.com/forums/index.php?c=2 )
d) ... and sub-categories: (example: https://www.econologie.com/forums/les-energi ... -vf39.html )
e) A moderator can rename, delete, move, close, or censor an inappropriate message. There are currently 6 moderators on the forum.

2) List of moderators GISME (Group of Intervention of the Friendly Modos Econologues):

    Targol
    delnoram
    Former Oceano
    Misterloxo
    nonoLeRobot
    Rulian
    Capt_Maloche
    And me

3) Instructions during your participation in the forum :

1) Creating a topic or subject.

a) Choose the right section of the forum (as much as possible).
b) The titles of the subjects must respect the French grammar and the orthography (upper case at the beginning of the sentence).
c) The title of the subject must be understandable (no special characters to excess, complete sentence ...)
d) When you create a topic. The title of the subject should not contain words entirely in CAPITALS

2) Post or message writing:

a) Respect the theme of the current subject to avoid Hors Subjects. Nevertheless to enrich the debate, if necessary recreate a subject with this new theme by putting a link of reference towards the old Topic
b) Respect others as much as possible.
c) No serious insults (but humor-teasing is welcome)
d) Attention to spelling and basic rules of grammar (make a little effort otherwise it breaks all the notoriety of the forum)
e) Avoid the SMS style

4) Regulations forums to accept during registration (obviously you have all read it in detail :D )

Regulations - Important: read before registering

Introduction:

The forums of the Econologie.com site are a public place of expression, exchange and discussion based on trust and mutual respect. Participants are therefore invited to exercise their freedom of expression while respecting that of others and respecting generally recognized standards in society. All are welcome on condition that they agree to contribute to maintaining a healthy and pleasant climate.
To ensure that this is the case, moderators are in place to ensure smooth interaction between participants.

Roles of moderation:

Administrators and moderators of this forum will endeavor to remove or edit all objectionable messages as quickly as possible. However, it is impossible for them to review all the messages. So you admit that all messages posted on these forums express the view and opinion of their respective authors, and not of the administrators, or moderators, or webmasters (except the messages posted by themselves) and therefore cannot be held responsible.

You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, threatening, sexual or any other material that may violate any applicable laws.

Doing so may cause you to be banned immediately permanently (and your internet service provider may be notified). The IP address of each message is recorded to help enforce these conditions. You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to delete, edit, move or lock any topic of discussion at any time.
As a user, you agree that any information you have entered above being stored in a database. However, this information will not be disclosed to any third person or company. The webmaster, administrator and moderators can not be held responsible for any hacking attempt that led to access this data.

Protection of private life :

Ce forum uses cookies to store information on your computer. These cookies will not contain any information that you have entered below; they serve only to improve the comfort of use. The e-mail address is only used to confirm the details of your registration and your password (and also to send you a new password in case you forget it).

The rules:

1. Posts containing hateful or defamatory because of opinions, origin, ethnicity, social, religious, political, gender or sexual orientation at the location of the participants or the public will not be tolerated.
2. No free or abusive personal attacks.
3. Not "spam" or profit except advertising agreements with moderation.
4. Political, religious or ideological propaganda is not permitted. By propaganda, we mean the repetition aggressive messages aimed to convert one or more persons to the principles championed by the issuer without stimulating discussion.
5. Pornographic images or offensive by abusive or hateful are prohibited.

Some loose tips:

About Topics or Topic:
Whenever possible, respect the ongoing discussion. It is true that a subject deviation can sometimes make exchanges more interesting but do not make it a habit. When posting a new topic, be sure to do so in the appropriate section.

Enrich the debates:
A constructive debate takes place when the participants demonstrate a certain openness and a willingness to understand and evaluate all the arguments presented. Be attentive, know how to recognize your mistakes and the successes of others.
Provocation can sometimes help you think outside the box, but if it's free, it does not bring anything positive.

Search function:
It is reserved for registered members.
When you want to create a new topic and do not know if it has already been processed, it is best to use the Find function. You will be able to avoid redundancy. At the top of all the pages of the forumthere is a "search" button. Clicking on it will take you to a window where you can search for keywords in the title or body of the archived messages.

Intellectual property :
If your message contains passages of which you are not the author, it is advisable to clearly indicate your sources and references. If they come from the net, the ideal is to provide the link to the site in question.

By registering, you vouch for the honor to agree and unconditionally with the above rules. In the event of a breach of this settlement, legal action may be taken against you.

Thank you for your understanding. Other rules will probably come later ...

Euhhh l'aut '
It's not even true, I put it before the ad for the site of step mom. : Wink:
In addition, I should not boast, but it's me who made the site.

And it's part of my plans for a future more or less close, this place. But that, I'll talk about it later.

In this case, Christophe, you'll have to negotiate with stepmom and, as you say right now, even if I love it, it really has a character pig.
By cons, it is an excellent food and - in terms of value for money - its rooms are not expensive for the region.

PS: turn this last sentence if it bothers you.
