Good news for this beginning of the year.
Let it be said, the participation index goes back!
In absolute statistics, the forum had gone down to 80,3 messages / day shortly before the December 11 2014 (average messages / day since the forum exist)
Then around the December 11, the forum had a rebound to iron 80,9 messages / day. Then, with the calm of the holidays, crumble nicely to 80,49 messages / day until January 6.
Then following the tragic events of Charlie, the participation has grown again to go back to 80,51 messages day.
So since September, the participation stopped by 3 times its spiral down and is even raised each time (even if the downward trend is not completely reversed, it shows that we are at the bottom of the curve of Gauss.)
So it would be enough to post a little more, among you econologists these next days, to see if what happens is confirmed.
Sample of 28-10 2014 at 21.58.31
Sample of 10-12 2014 at 04.13.33
Sample of the 06-01 2015
Not available, but we were at 80,49
Sample of 07-01 2015 slight but significant rise
Attendance / participation on the rise again
I am far from being a Taliban polls, on the contrary.
Posted messages reflect an activity that may be negligible compared to LUS messages.
I consider that a large attendance of readers has more meaning than a flood of messages ...
It is easy to write to say nothing, to see trolling, which ultimately devalues the forum and his interest.
I can be considered a sad sire, and I take it, because I prefer to make my contribution to current discussions rather than to humor.
What matters most to me here is the good level of exchanges and their pedagogical aspect without the authors taking their interlocutors high.
Ce forum brought me a lot in my personal quests and opened my eyes in some areas.
Nevertheless, this activity is extremely time consuming and we can all be faced with other necessities than coming to palaver.
This is to say that statistical fluctuations have a relative importance and depend on too many parameters that are difficult to control.

The number I wrote down is one of the "hard" components.
Since it compares a state in permanent decline and endemic for almost two years, and it directly with the attendance / participation of the beautiful years, when the forum walked full blast.
So it's still "significant" if that's what you wanted to hear.
Now agree with everything else ...
Even if one does not prevent the other: more participation and better quality ...
