AdSense victims of a Trojan horse

by Christophe » 07/01/06, 20:02

Google's AdSense, a contextual sponsored link, is currently suffering from a "Trojan Horse" virus discovered last week by Raoul Bangera, an Indian web designer. This virus replaces, on the computer of the user who is infected with it, the "normal" sponsored links, resulting from Google, by links redirecting towards pornographic sites, casinos, dating sites, viagra and whatnot ... Under Explorer, the problem is almost undetectable (except that the advertisements displayed will have nothing to do with the content of the page) but under Firefox, some display bugs seem to remain. For now, Google has confirmed that there is a problem but no solution seems available. However, the problem still seems not widespread. Only solution for the moment: use an updated antivirus!

Econology uses google Adsense, so if you see porn ads or have nothing to do with this site, it is because you are infested.
Be careful, it's not Adsense that brings the virus but the virus that modifies Adsense ads (so you can browse this site without fear).

If you have any doubt, here are 2 free and reliable antivirus addresses:

I allow myself to give the best free anti trojan (trojan) disinfection link currently online; the activation code is sent by email after the TV and registration.

The ideal is the multiboot, windows and linux on separate partitions, and choice of the OS at startup.
Windoze for all usual uses, and Linux for surfing the net;)

And then little by little we can switch completely;)

more seriously you must do the disinfection with the anti-trojan link that I already gave above + 3 other anti-spyware (ad-aware and spybot with spywareblaster)

http://www.01net.com/telecharger/window ... 26157.html

I also give you an anti-virus online that can do a scan of your pc in real time

http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

it takes a little time but it solves the problems

If you still have parasitic programs after that, please let us know.
ps: I have firefox and never have a problem

Arf yes, as you say !! : Lol: : Lol: : Lol: : Lol: : Lol:

Yesterday again I was to troubleshoot the PC of the beautiful sister infested with parasitic stuff that slow down to death the PC. The PC was so slow that I could not even start it to back up the data, in order to format and reinstall windows.

Result, I installed an 2eme hard disk, I installed linux above, it put 20 min. Graphic card, network and toutiquanti detected and functional immediately. The linux allowed to draw the data to save in the infected windoze.

Then formatting the windows disk, and reinstalling it ....
And there, 4h of horrors : Evil: : Evil: : Evil:, to put back all the software and the drivers, etc ... In all a good 30 taine of redemarrages ...

She uses firefox well (it's me who imposes! : Twisted:), it limits the damage, but it uses MSN behind, then necessarily ....
: roll: : roll:
