Routeyou.com: great hiking site (walk, bike, motorcycle)

by Christophe » 13/07/12, 17:00

Here is a very good site to find nature walks or by bike, motorbike or even car: http://www.routeyou.com

You have to zoom in hard enough to start seeing the routes ... You can create your walks and there is even an export function for GPS!

All this for free of course (and without registration)!

Very sympathetic.
I just tested the 2 biggest arsouilles on a motorbike in the Ardèche gorges: they are not there : Shock:
It is reserved for insiders : Mrgreen: in VFR750 equipped with demon sport from Dunlop and 4in1 DEVIL : Cheesy:

Ah ah ah!

It is marked hikes / walks not arsouilles! No, but!

Then first, a vfr750 does not advance in small winding roads (I have one I know what I'm talking about :D) : Cheesy: : Cheesy:

Disagree, the engine is narrow, it's the V4.
Against a 1200 bandit S, you pick it up otherwise it comes out willing everywhere and too heavy on the brakes.
Against a 1000XLV varadero too much wheelbase it drags with its couple.
A 1000CBR too heavy and brake too aggressive.
A too sharp 650bandit, you pick it up with your couple.
You have to go out of the bends of the breaker obviously.
The VFR has its center of gravity in the middle of the bike (thanks to the V4) compared to a classic 4-cylinder (on the front) it plays a lot especially on big braking.

There's the triple street and the triple speed that put it to me : Mrgreen:
Impressive power-to-torque ratio, especially at low revs.
My future machine : Mrgreen:

2 other sites to see too, you can retrieve and download hikes on your GPS, you can also offer them; on tracegps, you also have a converter for different GPS

http://www.tracegps.com/

http://www.visorando.com/

There is also the ITN converter, an interesting tool:

In my little corner, I prepare my little hikes on an old IGN hike software.
I can then convert them for my gps and even display them on google earth
