Also the exchange of information and experiences makes it possible to avoid various scams and crooks. Reviews on the Facom Diesel Injector Cleaner (on Saab 9.3 TiD from 2005)

by Christophe » 10/07/21, 19:08

I just used the Facom Diesel injector cleaner (€ 8 per bottle in the auto center) that I had since the end of 2019 ... This subject completes the one on engine cleaners where I had already presented this Facom bottle but I had not used it yet ...

Here is what I saw on my good old Diesel 1.9 TiD Saab / Opel / Fiat of 250 km ...

Test conditions:
- TiD Saab 1.9 150hp 1.4 bar turbo engine
- 250 km
- countryside / national rolling
- standard diesel fuel and no big tanker
- facom injector cleaner in a full

What is quite spectacular is ...the reduction in consumption observed during the use of the product (I am at the end of the full "cleaning" ...).

From the first 50 km, I had already noticed a drop in consumption but I did not want to tell you anything: we are never safe from an on-board computer forecast error ...

There I am sure, there is a real and measurable drop in consumption! My absolute record on this car was 950 km (highway) on a full tank (and more like 850 km the last few months under the same driving conditions ..) ...

With the Facom product, I would probably exceed 1000 km (1050 km with luck?) Before refueling since the on-board computer gives me between 150 km of autonomy and the fuel tank warning light did not come on. still on (it allows you to do another 130 km at ease):

I had not seen this at all with the Bardahl engine cleanser that I had used around 190 km (so 000 km less anyway) ... which is however 60 times more concentrated according to what I had calculated there: new-transport / view-on-the-products cleaning-de-slagging engine BARDHAL-facom-t16183.html

In short, I very probably have a good 15% more autonomy ... to see if the effect persists when the refueling is topped up ...

I'll keep you informed !

Macro, you who roll a lot, you should test it!

ps: whoever finds my car's display bug ... will earn my respect : Cheesy:

I reread this topic: new-transport / view-on-the-products cleaning-de-slagging engine BARDHAL-facom-t16183.html

I had already used 2 Facom cleaning products but none of the 2 had shown such a "palpable" difference in consumption ...

It is because since (I dare not say "as you get older"), you may have a lighter foot and that the limitation to 80 has played a bit.

What limitation at 80? : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen:

No, I have always practiced eco-driving and I have certainly not changed since the last full where I put this product ... there is indeed an effect on consumption since I put this bottle. .at least according to the on-board computer ! : Cheesy:

Like I said, I waited until the end of filling to talk about it ... I can't wait to see how much it will end up in real consumption ...

(in 2 weeks I won't be riding too much at the moment) ...

The one which made that before we drove at 100 and that today, in order not to be "inside", we drive at 90 ... : Mrgreen:

Personally ... In our taxis ... Supermarket fuel ... And no significant problem of injection on a cumulative 700 km per year ... And stable and consistent consumption from one driver to another. ..

The only thing safe in the future. It is that there may chance that it conforms to our expectations ...

Well, for 8 € it would be worth it for you to test the FACOM ... just to see if I'm hallucinating or not ... : Mrgreen:

Be careful, take the one presented in this subject, not the one for HDi (which had no effect on my consumption at the time ... see: new-transport / view-on-the-products cleaning-de-slagging engine BARDHAL-facom-t16183.html )
