I would say that the Pantone reactor is an autothermal reformaur.
(endothermic water + diesel reactor)
in the principle of autothermal reforming ...
it is said that the material of the catalyst and the function of the fuel burn
for what interests us, that is to say the hydrocarbons, it is said that the catalyst must contain (I no longer remember the percentage ... sorry) a large amount of niquel
on the other hand, the sulfur contained in the hydrocarbons and problematic during a reforming or the need to desulfurize it before reforming (because the sulfur creates a film which destroys the catalyst)
ps: I also wonder if this fine film that many experimenters have found would not it be that of sulfur ...

I did not know that some doped with a mixture of water and diesel?
I had heard that some put vegetable oil in small quantities in the bubbler supposedly to force a bubbling through a film of oil, but personally I always put nothing but water in the bubbler and in winter I tested alcohol, which turned out to be less effective than water.
Nothing but water, there is a film on the stainless steel of the brownish and blackish rod in the outlet copper pipe,
Those who put something else in the bubbler it would be interesting to know the results.

But the best in this case is to separate the water and the fuel and to heat the water so that it evaporates in roughly the same proportions as that of the fuel. So we send an aerosol of water and fuel through the reactor.
If you put the two sets in the same bubbler the water will not evaporate as quickly as the fuel.

Currently I just focus on water I take rain water, or melted snow, I don't know what kind of reaction there is in the reactor, the only thing that interests me c 'is the difference in yield with water and without water, so the parameters around the reactor which cause these variations.
and the best way to increase this yield even if it seems complicated to achieve, there will always be time to simplify after ..
it's the only way to improve for DIY enthusiasts like us
As the big manufacturers know and have probably done all the necessary tests, we should not expect them to give some precise answers why it works, or why it does not work.
