Here the price fell yesterday: 33 500 € HT for communities ... Ouch!

The price for individuals is not yet defined but should exceed 40 € including tax!

In any case it is not leasing / renting apparently ...

To read: marketing of the i-Miev, the first real high-performance electric car on the market?

I recently read that the lifespan of Li-Ion batteries (mobile phones or other small portable devices) was about 3 years in "intensive" operation ... What about the Li-Ion batteries of the i-Miev?

Well yeah ... we will see in fact if it is really economical ... because it is not at the purchase price but it was ... unfortunately predictable! :?

We already have feedback with Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) or LFP over 3 years, and without loss of performance, in the hands of French experimenters.

Regarding the obvious overcharging of the vehicle; the link above shows that the batteries represent, public price, less than 8.000 € ...
The rest of the vehicle is no more expensive than a thermal.

I remind you that the construction of such a vehicle saves on the supply of the heat engine (much more expensive than an electric motor), the exhaust, the gearbox ...

The Japanese are announcing price proposals for this car comparable to those they use for the marketing of their latest game console ...

Christophe ...

The “very simple” equation on page 25 of the document “ useful energy to moving a car » http://cocyane.chez-alice.fr/energie.html allows to determine the useful energy (Eu) for the displacement of any car ... so to compare them objectively.

In particular the Mitsubishi Miev.

The conclusion of this document highlights that with the European cycle (cf. doc) the first order factor (2/3) is mass, and just after, aerodynamics (1/3).

Let us add that on a more road cycle, aerodynamics "gain weight" until becoming predominant.

I am also preparing the following documents for the next few weeks (max one month):
- How to determine the performance of a car
- Is performance a relevant criterion?
- Comparison of some vehicles: Hummer (for fun), 4x4, MPVs, compacts, hybrids, small cars…

Warning ! A site (I do not know which one, I consult too much ...) wrote this WE that we should not convert the Japanese price!
These € 33 are apparently the direct conversion of yen into € uros, but too many factors are different between these regions for it to be as simple ...

Hello,

I do not know if my approach is good but to get the price of the i-Miev in France I took its price in Japan, or 4,599,000 ¥, and I looked for a comparable price for vehicle imported into France. I found a corresponding price, that of the basic version of the 4 x 4 Lexus RX-450h which is at 4,600,000 ¥. The price of the Prius version 3 ranges from 2,050,000 ¥ to 3,270,000 ¥.

So I guess the price of the I-Miev would be around 2,24 times the price of the base version of the Prius 3 or equal to that of the base version of the Lexus RX-400h.

Source : http://www.carview.co.jp/

The price of the 4 x 4 Lexus RX-450h in France is € 58900 ( http://www.webcarcenter.com/lexus/rx/le ... -2009.html ).

AMHA, the price of i-Miev should therefore be around 55000 to 60000 €. With a help of 1000 € it would make 54000 to 59000 € : Lol:

Absolutely, and it will be much more expensive because there is neither the import cost nor the various taxes ...

It is surely for that that we could also read the figure of 36 € HT ...

In any case: it's too expensive.

If kk1 is willing to do the ROI calculation compared to a small C1 hdi (or even gasoline) I have strong doubt that we arrive, over the life of the vehicle to make the i-Miev profitable! Finally do not spoil the pleasure of seeing a REAL PERFORMING electric car on the market but it still hurts to see such prices ...

Please? Don't argue that it's expensive because it's new technology.

How much, in euros in 2008, were the 1st cars sold (ford T et cie?)?
