a carbon filter retains chlorine, certain heavy metals (bp) and some chemicals, that's all ... in any case minerals ...
and it has a very short lifespan. after more efficiency :?

Yes I understand, I too had an aquarium for a while.

This filter is multi, no deposit is formed in the toilet even after several days without cleaning, it must be said that I have very clear water at the start but the water stagnates too much in the well given the capacity in flow.

Do not confuse aquarium carbon filter with this filter that I use.

A carbon filter remains a carbon filter. The active ingredient is always the same.
After what changes it is just the fineness of the filter media that are added, but they only have a mechanical action on the water.
If they add something else as an active ingredient (for example certain resins) it is no longer an ordinary charcoal filter, it is a charcoal filter + something.

Personally, I learned nothing new ... and I don't really see what this filter story has to do with this subject.

It was following Rabbit's comment about the problem of acidic water and lime in the well.

Just read it again!

Yeah but a carbon filter will not change anything (especially not against limescale) otherwise at work we would have one in front of each exchanger rather than pissing off descaling them every 3 months (and given the number of exchangers in l factory would save a lot, so if it was really a solution it would have been in place for a very long time)

The filter I am talking about is not only a carbon filter, I am talking about the filter that I use which is in addition to carbon.

We are not going to play on words and bickering like Kids!

How do you explain that this small filter eliminates lime and several other things in the water!
