It was when Citroën claimed a 3.6 l / 100 consumption for the AX 14D?

At the time, all manufacturers communicated on consumption at 90 km / h ...
There was a wave of display with the 205 (3.9 l / 100: "world record") then the Fiesta (3.8 l / 100: "record broken") and finally the AX which had taken the theme of reducers of head...

Note that some manufacturers (Citroën again, and also Fiat) are again putting forward the lowest consumption (in extra-urban) instead of average consumption (3.7 l / 100 for a C2, and 3.5 l / 100 for a Garnde Punto I think ...)
I wonder how far they are not playing with the limit?

Leo, I'm talking about the engine, only the engine ... For the rest I'm relatively well informed...

Ah yeah slim it's not new so what year or so? The AX had a long life ...

Still, I don't see what has changed since: there is always a + 20% delta in the given consumption (without hacking as we like to do here, huh!).

Going from 5 to 6L / 100 over the lifetime of a car (200 km) makes an error of:

200 / 000 * 100 * 1 = € 1.5 ... on a car at € 3000 is nothing ...

ps: the AX Diesel was the most eco-friendly car of the time ...

Having stayed in Japan several times I read a little Japanese (especially the hiraganas and katakanas obviously : Lol: ) and from time to time I frequent the press and auto magazine sites. For the IQ there "would" be 3 engines, two petrol (500 and 900) and a diesel, plus a plug-in hybrid later given for less than 80 g / km of CO2.

It seems to me that this is also reproduced with the ZX.

No, apart: two petrol and one diesel. I will have to look more on Japanese sites but www.toyota.co.jp is not very talkative.

Compared to the Smart, the iQ is front-wheel drive with 4 independent wheels, the Smart is a rear-wheel drive with rigid axle. This is an important difference.
