Ecological and natural paint recipe

by the middle » 21/09/07, 10:43

Found by chance on another site:

Non-toxic natural paints are fashionable and very expensive, here is an old recipe tested for 3 years and topical since I repeat the same recipe in all my house (new). For 40 m2 it is between 5 and 7 liters of painting for less than 12 euros

Recipe:

4 l of skimmed milk, 500 gr of slaked lime, 1/2 liter of linseed oil, 4 kg of powdered chalk (or Blanc de Meudon the 2 kg sachet in DIY stores).

Mix the lime and the chalk, add the linseed oil, add the milk, mixing gradually. Add your natural pigment previously diluted in a small pot. (Beware, it clears up as it dries)

Spread with a large brush. No need for siccative, do not attach or powder ... awesome cheap, healthy, effective tested! On plaster walls, plasterboard, Ba 13 ... ;-)
