Received this afternoon, haven't really had time to test it yet.

Compared to 240 GB internal SSD (low end)

.

I copied over 100 GB, good, not proofread.

It's a super light shell, and phone adapter.

I'm not expecting 8TB, but at least a tiny bit at best.

We'll see what it does in use!

What does h2testw say?
It's a utility that will fill the disk with 1GB files and read them to see if it fits with what it wrote.
Absolutely mandatory to do a h2testw before using any storage device bought on aliexpress.

Is it just me or does the 240 GB internal SSD (low end) seem to blow up the performance of the 8 TB completely on the sly?

When I see that I had paid at the time for a Samsung SSD of ... 1 tb which had cost me a blind and which broke after 2 and a half years - having believed the advertisement and having naively said that having no moving parts it would last much longer than a conventional HD — I think I would gladly put a little more than what you paid to have something that would hold up in terms of performance on Aliexpress, and that I wouldn't be any worse off...

What I can say is that with the 150 GB that I put on it, half of which is video, a lot of video does not pass.

Very slow, yes, but in USB ...

I wouldn't do the h2testw test on the entire disk, it could be the week!

200-300 GB maybe I'll launch before bedtime!

But it will help me for the refund!!!!!

I don't think you will wait long for the h2testw test, the errors will come up as soon as the physical memory capacity is full.

I understood that it was slow and that the box was 90% empty... but I didn't understand the capacity? How many usable TB do you have?

It reminds me of the fake wish graphics cards that tricked windows...

Along the same lines, I found this: https://www.tech2tech.fr/h2testw-tester ... cartes-sd/

LOL the 2 nuts!

In the 80s, to test the first discs, I typed in DOS, something like:

"
Copy con test.bat
type test.bat >> test.bat
test.bat
^F6
"

There was not necessarily a text editor.

copy con test.bat, creates an executable file of the test name
type test.bat >> test.bat , concatenates the file onto itself
test.bat, restart the "bat"
^F6 finish creating the file, saving it, and then you ran test.bat, and it took up space in text mode....

Initially, I was hoping for 1TB, now, while I have a max of 150 GB, I have read errors on video, so, I will say, nothing!!!

Or maybe a few GB, the refund request is in progress, and the seller no longer exists on ali, a priori, this is one of the reasons why I did not put the link....
