Re: Combustion issue never fixed Okofen
Can a power unsuited to the dwelling and its level of insulation be considered as a hidden defect?

Re: Combustion issue never fixed Okofen
It's still crazy this case of oversized pellet boiler !!
We solved explained up and down and solved this problem here from 2008, that is to say more than 15 years ago when the first pellet boilers were installed in our region!!
The icing on the cake: all this information is free and free to access*, yet there are still professional losers who do shit!

* maybe that's the problem, we should make them pay so that they have more value in the heads of dorks!

I agree with you, cf. my post a bit before about oversizing. But what interest for manufacturers, except to generate counter-references? It is better to sell a 15kW boiler that the customer will be satisfied with than a 25kW boiler that will piss him off for 20 years or more.
Installers must be trained so that they get out of their gas "habits" when installing pellet boilers, that's for sure. And there the manufacturers have their role to play, rather than leaving the hand to "regional dealers" whose only concern is to make the maximum margin in the short term.
A thermal study with a raised finger, carried out with a quick glance by the heating specialist author of the estimate will always cost less
Not to mention that out of habit he may prefer to be reassuring when it comes to the ability to heat with high power.
Me the first when I invested, I wanted to be sure that the power would be enough
My heating engineer at the time - him - had taken into account the surface, the year of insulation, the materials and the thicknesses used, the desired temperatures.
Okofen recommended a 14kW, he was counting on a 10kW and he therefore directed me to a SmartXS which could do 3/18kW.
With hindsight, he was my heating engineer closest to my needs, and if I can believe the winter of 2018, my green purred at 40% of these 10kW.
The margin is therefore large in my case, and yet I have an average cycle time of 55 min.

I know how to increase cycle length easily!

Hello,
Sorry for my late answer.
Gladly for Laurent to make a diagnosis of the boiler.
How should it be done?
Have a good day

Re: Combustion issue never fixed Okofen
it is above all counterproductive, the energy to transform water into steam is wasted energy, except for a condensing boiler...Pilpoill wrote:There is also a lack of water here!Christophe wrote:I know how to increase cycle length easily!
