BIOTEN is the reference I found on the estimate. Pictured what I saw on the boiler outlet pipe.

For the exit to the roof, the photo is taken from the ground. The air intake is about a meter above the roof.
I can take a more specific photo if needed.
Have a good day

I can't find the output anywhere on both of your installations. :(

Thank you! Image

There is a problem since their Compact Okofen models range from 22kW to 32kW :!:

Indeed, if the smoke exhaust flow (horizontal at the outlet of the accessory) and the fresh air intake flow are significantly different from the design values, this can lead to recirculation which could in particular explain these "drips "greasy.
More annoyingly, if this is the case, it could lead to progressive fouling of the annular combustion air transport space by combustion products.

It's not the same diameter either. The diflux range no longer seems to be marketed by Dirak.

Oversized power? It would be necessary to be able to reduce the flame power to make it last.

I do not have the necessary skills to know if the output is suitable, it would absolutely be necessary to see that with the manufacturer since there are technical documents which commit it.
It looks like this kind of document: http://www.cstb.fr/pdf/atec/GS14-O/AO2131908_V3.pdf

For average cycle times, that of Fontcouverte is artificially inflated by the settings made by Okofen.
"Impulse burner" operation (and its associated parameters) means that regardless of demand, the boiler must start at 64°C and shut down at 80°C.
And who says short cycle says poor combustion during the first minutes then during the extinction phase, rejection level we pass on the side as ecological as announced… Hum hum

When to the average cycle of Bernard01290, what to say … 19 min : Shock: : Shock:
Bernard, if you accept that I look at your parameters so that I can confirm - or not - a simple configuration error.

I was going to say it: 19 min is at best 50% of a "good combustion" cycle at worst 20%... : Shock: : Shock: : Shock: You surprise me that this produces soot galore!

But what do Okofen engineers do? There isn't a charitable soul who would like to send them a summary email with the links to the okofen / combustion topics of this forum ? : Mrgreen:

Christophe, if the oversizing is due to the regional agency and/or the installer, you understand that everyone wants to cover themselves since they are all working hand in hand to continue installing...

I agree with you, cf. my post a bit before about oversizing. But what interest for manufacturers, except to generate counter-references? It is better to sell a 15kW boiler that the customer will be satisfied with than a 25kW boiler that will piss him off for 20 years or more.
Installers must be trained so that they get out of their gas "habits" when installing pellet boilers, that's for sure. And there the manufacturers have their role to play, rather than leaving the hand to "regional dealers" whose only concern is to make the maximum margin in the short term.
