https://www.science.org/content/article ... s-surprise“I was like, 'BA.1 has the upper hand. We will never hear from BA.2 again,” recalls Mark Zeller, a genomic epidemiologist at the Scripps Research Institute. Eight weeks later, he says, “That's clearly not the case. ...I'm pretty sure that [BA.2] will be all over the world, sweeping through, and soon to be the dominant variant in most, if not all, countries. »...
But so far, BA.2 doesn't seem to make people any sicker than BA.1, which itself poses less risk of serious illness than variants such as Delta and Beta. In Denmark, where as of January 21, BA.2 accounted for 65% of new COVID-19 cases, "we are seeing a continuous and steep decline in the number of patients in the intensive care unit and ... now a decrease in the number of hospital admissions related to SARS-CoV-2,” says Tyra Grove Krause, an infectious disease epidemiologist at the country's public health agency. In fact, the Danish government is so confident that the variant won't cause major upheaval that it lifted nearly all pandemic-related restrictions on February 1....
Bedford estimates it accounted for 7% of new cases in the United States as of January 30, down from 0,7% on January 19. “In each country and over time, we see that the epidemic growth rate of Omicron BA.2 is greater than that of Omicron BA.1,” he says.
The Danish study, which sequences the virus from virtually everyone with COVID-19, paints a more dramatic picture. In households where the first case was BA.1, an average of 29% of the other people in the household were infected. When the first case was BA.2, 39% of household members were infected.
In a promising and unexpected finding from Denmark, those who were vaccinated or vaccinated and boosted transmitted BA.2 to household members less often, compared to BA.1. The same is not true for unvaccinated people, who transmitted BA.2 to household contacts at 2,6 times the rate they passed BA.1.
Scientists note that BA.1 and BA.2 are about as far apart on the evolutionary tree as the earlier variants of concern – Alpha, Beta and Gamma – are from each other (see chart below). below). Some even think that BA.2 should not even be considered Omicron.

Vaccinated = common cold vs unvaccinated = flu

Like what the end of the pandemic, we are not there yet
https://www.lindependant.fr/2022/02/03/ ... 086335.phpMaya N. Clark-Cutaia, a professor at Meyers College of Nursing in New York, told The New York Times that vaccinated people, infected with the Omicron variant, mostly show symptoms similar to "a bad cold": headaches, body aches or fever.
Conversely, shortness of breath, cough and flu-like symptoms would be reserved for the unvaccinated.
For his part, Craig Spencer (director of global health in emergency medicine at Columbia University) affirms that vaccinees who have received the 3rd dose can suffer from sore throats when those who have only received two doses can also feel tired and cough. "But no shortness of breath or difficulty breathing," he said on Twitter at the end of December.
Finally, everyone agrees that the difference between vaccinated and unvaccinated does not necessarily lie in the nature of the symptoms but rather in their severity, their intensity and their duration. Unvaccinated people are more at risk of contracting severe forms. Same with Omicron, reputed to be a less severe variant.

Who "on" you still haven't answered
Where are you? Where do you see them talking about the pandemic?
They speak of an endemic problem of lack of means species of manipulator.
While “flu-like syndromes” it's not really covid anymore...

Izmentrop is too strong in disinformation by systematically relaying propaganda...
Me NO-VAX, Omicron positive a month ago, just a minor cold with no fever while my sister double VAX, younger than me and no comorbidity, had a fever and was sick longer than me!
They are too good your FAKE VACCINES!
