It's not that we're mean, I even have respect for those who produce something concrete, but realistic.
When we claim to have alternatives to modern techno, we have to demonstrate it operationally, not by going back to cells or batteries already tested by the pioneers in the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century, which I suspect. Not even any measurement results, nothing on the technology, no invention patent so what's the point of keeping secret? Anyone could reproduce them if they became public.
We don't invest on vague promises.
