Pc Lenovo ideapad 110 does not start anymore: blinitialize Library failed

by izentrop » 16/05/21, 23:26

Hello,
Back from a 6 day absence, my ideapad 110_17ACL laptop no longer starts and displays Blinitializelibrary failed 0xc00000bb after about 1/4 hour.

I press the start button, the brand logo is displayed normally and nothing else until the error message is displayed at the top of the screen.
When the DVD player starts up, it seems to try to reboot several times, before displaying the error message.

It seems from what I have read on the net, that this is a failure of the UEFI circuit.

On the motherboard there is a 25B64CSIG circuit. Is this the circuit containing the UEFI program?

Otherwise, an idea?

I found an answer here: https://answers.microsoft.com/fr-fr/win ... d6c68dfc97

Provided you have the installation CD, otherwise make a UDB Bootable key to restart on this key

Do not tinker with the electronics of the motherboard which do not seem to be the cause.

Otherwise, you must:
- test the RAM to see if it is healthy (you never know)
- reset the default configuration (defeat it unlocks well)

According to the link found by Jean it's the loss of your boot sector and the partition table ... generally it sucks ... this solution maybe tried but I only half believe it. ..not on the method but on the chances of success ...

Losing an MBR is serious ...

https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_boot_record

The solution is to boot your PC with an installation disc and run a few commands. Here is the process:

1. Insert the Windows 10 installation disc or USB key.

2. Boot from the disk or USB key.

3. Click Repair my computer (bottom left).

4. Click Troubleshoot then choose Advanced options, then Command Prompt.

5. At the command prompt, run the following commands:

Bootrec/fixmbr
Bootrec/fixboot
Bootrec / rebuildbcd

then restart the PC

So in your place before trying that, I would boot on a live CD or USB (win or linux) to see if the system is reliable stable and if you see your old hard drive ... if so, recover your important data (if you do not see it trying with the excellent Testdisk: https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Download which also allows to rebuild the MBR and the MFT) on an external USB disk ...

And do the above procedure after having retrieved your important data.

Ps: you don't have a non-bootable DVD in the drive, eh? : Cheesy: : Cheesy:

I tried what you say. It does not work. I access the bios menu with the reset button. I can even change the boot order but the repair cd or bootable USB key does not start.
That's why I think of a breakdown.

Christophe, it dates from 2017 and the MBR has been replaced by UEFI since 2010, from what I read.

Thanks anyway.

UEFI and MBR are not the same utility ... the MBR is replaced by GPT ... UEFI is the Bios ... MBR is still widely used.

So take your disc apart and test it on another machine ...

In any case, a laptop CM cannot be repaired it can be changed ... see if it is profitable at the cost of parts and obsolescence ...

You were right, it is indeed the dd which prevented the starting.
I recovered a dd from an old broken pc.
I had to change it from MBR to GPT, with diskpart, to be able to install W10 downloaded and installed on USB key.

Here it is again, but the pc stopped dead several times during the installation. Probably the tired dd?

Do you know if it is advantageous to install a dd SSD on a not recent pc?

Bin there! :)

2017 is recent! And yes an SSD will work very well on it!

Were you able to recover your data?

It's not terrible an installation that crashes ... you mean hard reboot?

Did you end up succeeding with the new installation or not?

On an "old" computer, installing an SSD is day and night: it no longer paddles, it heats up and consumes less, it never defragments. You just have to "enabler" the TRIM and I'm not telling you the boost for the bike. I just installed one on an old iMac from 2009, it is unrecognizable.

Not necessary on Windows, but on Mac, with a non "Apple" SSD, you have to do it, at least on old Os (Code line or with "Trim enabler, paying). For new ones, I don't know .
