Fine particles

by Samarion24 » 05/02/21, 20:23

Hello
I contacted the atmo to find out about the analyzes related to a bitumen coating plant.
Who can tell me more?
Health risk.
Can the company be sanctioned?
Thank you

Here, look therein (it's official and recent):
https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/jorf/id/ ... 0038358856
And in there (unofficial, not in Savoie, but anxious):
The various pollutants that will be released by the operation, according to the company that wishes to set up, will produce 120 tonnes per year of: 000 tonnes of dust per year, 6,720 tonnes of sulfur, 20,16 tons of nitrogen dioxide, 33,6 tons of formaldehyde, 0,749 kilograms of benzio (a) pyrene and 5,3 kilograms of naphthalene. However, the installed production capacity is 35,5 tonnes per year.

The company that wishes to set up delivers a modeling formula which gives an evaluation of the chronic average concentration of pollutants in the air. This dispersion of pollutants would stop, according to the company, about 500 meters from the plant. <<< MDR !!!

Thank you
It is sure that it is not reassuring ... Especially since there is strong suspicion that the water of the neighboring lake is polluted. There are more than 500 such installations in France and we are certainly not an isolated case.

Already pollution in cities, even with catalysts, is hardly bearable.

One study (but there are thousands around the world) shows correlations between the spread of SARS-cov-2, heavily polluted areas of cities where the poorest live, and the sky-high rates of spread of “superinfectors” that live there ...

Improve / repair “human eco-systems”, I mean “not from nature"But those in which we live we human beings (which are part of this nature ...) is the key to improving"healthy life expectancy”, And the 'good news' is that with covid19, to get out of it in the long term, we're going to have to take serious care of:
- reduce pollution (and not just greenhouse gases).
- solve the problems of poverty, precariousness and promiscuity in the world, to give the inhabitants decent living conditions.
- pay for raw materials, manufactured products and others at a decent price;
- (this will imply a) redefinition of the rules of the financial sector, with the promulgation of new laws (I am not a specialist, but it means tackling the issue of extractivism, anthropotechnics and other “scientifization” of the human being!
- this implies rethinking everything ... This list is by far not exhaustive.

So the problem that you raised goes far beyond the stakes of the valley in which you live with its asphalt plant (and which is part of the global problem, of course ...). So that this thread deserves to be renamed or joined to another (if it does not already exist ...?)

It is true that it is rather anxiety-provoking ....
It must be said that the atmo ranks us in the top 3 of the places most polluted with fine particles in Rhône-Alpes ....
Podium which I would have gone well.
People think they live in the mountains, but our valleys are a trap for the population ...

Of course, we are better off at sea, with the offshore wind. And by placing the bottom of "fine particles" a space after "fines", we de-stress. :)

The fine particles coming from the brakes + tires + tar IS the first source of pollution of this kind! :

“PARTICLES COME IN MAJORITY FROM THE BRAKE PADS, which is why some are working on specific filters. "
https://www.sciencesetavenir.fr/high-te ... -oN5IQqLgY

"Fine particles from driving EVs"
It is fair to say that

1 ° even on this point the EV DOES CLEARLY better than the VT!
Few people know that braking on electric regeneration in EV makes it possible to practically no longer brake (example: almost everyone knows the case of this Tesla driver who had to wait 300.000 km to have to replace his pads!)
https://www.automobile-propre.com/ce-ch ... 00-000-km/

Thanks to regenerative braking (EV), "on a hybrid Yaris the brake pads are used four times slower than on a normal Yaris"
It should also be noted that there is "twice the concentration of fine particles in the metro than in the air outside"
(braking and friction of the wheels on the tracks)

I am nearly 50.000 km away with my EV and both the pads and the pads are in excellent condition!

Also know "Why do tires on electric cars last longer?" ":

Hello,
Can the fine particles also play on the more and more frequent allergy problems? there are mites and vegetation, but more and more allergies to pollution are being detected. Personally, I live in the Lyonnais basin and every time I go to work, it's a hassle! I am thinking of moving to live more in the countryside ...

Reality far too little aware: "The coronavirus could survive several hours in the open air"
and all the more so since electromagnetic and fine particle pollution are important!
