My Doubs Yellow carrots. Extra taste. Very easy to grow in heavy soil. Very resistant to cold.

As promised in my 1st post of this thread, here are black ball radishes, Polish varieties, taken from the ground this afternoon and which have survived without pb at - 11 ° C.

Ah yes beautiful beets ... I dared not harvest mine I tell myself which could grow a little more. I mean they stopped growing in the cold, do you think they can start again?

They leave without problem if they have endured the cold, ie if they are still alive. A small puff of green leaves will bear witness to this.
My secret: I transplant for winter conservation a lot of plants by burying a few cm the little ball which will be well sheltered in winter when it comes.

Photo taken this afternoon of my Val d'Orge winter lettuce sown in mid-October and slowly waking up. The 1st will be ready in 1 month and a half and the production will run until the beginning of June.
This old variety is very resistant to intense cold without any cover. I still wait a bit to lighten them up and transplant plants all over the vegetable garden.
