Understanding the covid test (serological, pcr, antigenic) of Sars-Cov2 (and its variants)

How to stay healthy and prevent risks and consequences on your health and public health. occupational disease, industrial risks (asbestos, air pollution, electromagnetic waves ...), company risk (workplace stress, overuse of drugs ...) and individual (tobacco, alcohol ...).

Oh yes? Explain to us what you think you know, without copying and pasting a Wiki

we are talking about PCR tests and Janic posts a link on serological tests .... : roll: : roll:

The question "Explain to us what you think you know, without copying and pasting a Wiki" remains valid. : Mrgreen:

well everything is explained in the link: serological tests test for the presence of antibodies by the links they make with protein fragments (peptides), but it has nothing to do with PCR tests which test for the presence virus, not antibodies (usually when antibodies develop, viruses disappear, so the two are rather mutually exclusive).

The PCR test would therefore directly perform a sequencing to know if it is one or the other?

no, the simple PCR test does not perform complete sequencing, on the other hand it "recognizes" RNA sequences characteristic of the virus, which have nothing to do with those of influenza viruses.

It's like taking fingerprints or a fundus, it's not all your DNA, but it's enough to identify you.

Then if there are too many mutations, it can decrease the selectivity of the test, but it concerns the variants of the covid, not the flu. A coronavirus will never become an influenza virus!
You've been unaware of everything that's going on in the big files for months, I don't care but it's very revealing of your cognitive-behavioral disorder (with or without duplication, that's up to you) passed the link on the criminal complaint to the ICTY, when you have made the summary, we will talk about it again ... (or not)

Uh, what is the principle of detection of rapid self-tests? I thought it was antigens ...

I read that they had to be confirmed by an antigen or PCR ... so it is not an anti genic ...

I ask because of this:

For not having been taken from the wrong nostril:
