Zoonoses: after Covid-19, leptospirosis!

Don't panic, you can only catch this fever if the tick carries it. However, no case has been identified in Europe.
Distribution (01/2019):

... but no one has been reached in Europe

We can nevertheless reassure ourselves. According to Ouest France, around fifty Hyalomma marginatum ticks have been found in north-west Europe since 2012, and none of them carried the Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus.

"For a tick to be contaminated, it must have fed on the blood of an animal or a human who is himself sick (...) And then it would have to be transported to France by a migrating bird ... We cannot of course completely exclude this risk. But there is nothing to be alarmist about at the moment, "said Muriel Vayssier-Taussat, quoted by Le Parisien. No one in France was therefore a victim of a tick carrying Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever.

If populations become less and less resistant to viruses, and the green wave helping, it may push the authorities to finally take drastic measures to preserve the quality and vitality of human food. And see the end of synthetic pesticides coming!

And one more zoonosis: https://trustmyscience.com/virus-nipah- ... e-en-inde/

Since Sunday, India has been battling an epidemic of the extremely deadly Nipah virus in the state of Kerala.

The Nipah virus is considered to be one of the deadliest to have ever infected humans, with mortality varying between 50 and 75% depending on the epidemics. The last time a Nipah epidemic broke out in India, it killed 17 of the 18 infected patients.

Like the coronavirus, Nipah is a zoonotic virus, that is, a virus that is transmitted from animals to humans. Transmission generally occurs when humans come into direct contact with animals or through the consumption of contaminated food. But a high number of cases of human-to-human transmission of the virus have also been reported. A sign of evolution of the virus?

The disease is thankfully much less contagious than COVID-19 - which still infects around 41 people in India every day. But with an incubation period of up to 45 days, no effective treatment or vaccine, an estimated 20% risk of long-term neurological sequelae in survivors, and a death rate of around 75%. in the worst cases, even small epidemics pose a serious threat to public health.

And what is the reverse of a zoonosis?

Atlanta Zoo gorillas positive for coronavirus

Several gorillas at the Atlanta City Zoo in Georgia (southern United States) have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. The animals had been tested after caregivers saw them cough and show other symptoms.

Some gorillas at risk of complications have been treated with monoclonal antibodies. The zoo believes the gorillas were infected by an asymptomatic caregiver, even though he had been fully vaccinated and was wearing protective gear.

Zoo Atlanta said it had received authorization to use the anti-Covid vaccine for animals developed by the specialized firm Zoetis. It will be administered to the gorillas as soon as they recover and the zoo also intends to vaccinate its orangutans, Sumatran tigers, African lions and clouded leopards.

champion, they extend their vaccine addiction to anything and everything. After the animals, warm-blooded, it will remain to vaccinate those with cold blood, then the vegetation, then the marine animals and finally the stones. : roll:

Can't remember which way it was going!

By the reverse I meant that humans contaminate animals ... what's the name?

Because we are not sure that covid19 is a zoonosis ...

Ben is "Lycée de Versailles"
Zoonoses are diseases or infections that are transmitted from vertebrate animals to humans, and vice versa. The pathogens involved can be bacteria, viruses or parasites. These diseases are transmitted either directly, during contact between an animal and a human being, or indirectly through food or through a vector (insect, arachnids, etc.). According to the World Organization for Animal Health, 60% of human infectious diseases are zoonotic. https://agriculture.gouv.fr/les-zoonose ... et-lanimal
Because we are not sure that covid19 is a zoonosis ...
well if :!: no doubt about it ... the flu also for that matter.
