"Too much death", we agree. "do without EBM", I don't know what you're basing yourself on.

When we reach the death toll from covid we go through randomized trials, double blind against placebo and all
We said it already in spring

maybe you said it in the spring, but it's still just as wrong. We quickly made more deaths with inappropriate treatment than what we saved, and it remains true even with this number of deaths.

It's you who is obsessed with Raoult and hydroxychloroquine
Personally, I want us to use all possible tracks
And that we don't hinder the doctors from doing it
We said it already in the spring
Exactly what is done in India for example
And hydroxychloroquine or not hydroxychloroquine for that matter

no one criticized Raoult for trying the HCQ. He was criticized for claiming that it was effective without having proof of it. Do not mix everything up !

Covid-19 in Africa: WHO encourages research on natural medicines

The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Saturday it was encouraging research on natural medicines in Africa in the face of Covid-19 and other epidemics. Experts from the WHO and two other organizations have "approved a protocol for phase 3 clinical trials of herbal medicine for Covid-19," the WHO said in a statement dated from Brazzaville, its regional headquarters on the continent.

“Phase 3 clinical trials are essential to fully assess the safety and efficacy of a new medical product,” said WHO. "If a traditional medicine product proves to be safe, effective and of assured quality, WHO will recommend large-scale and rapid local manufacture," said WHO Africa official, Dr Prosper Tumusiime, quoted in the communicated.

My opinion
In acute phase (see the posts of the time)
- we put on masks and we do not be called a conspirator if we say that the state LIES by saying that they are useless
- we fire everything without going through EBM and everything like we have done for other epidemics

In the cushy phase (even if some predict the apocalypse for in 1 month)
We can take all our time (a few years before the development of a drug and ten years for the vaccine if we do not do things in a hurry like Raoult) and leave a few guinea pigs (see astra zeneca vaccine) and a few (how many human beings die per day in the world of covid?) human beings around the world.

Already said in the spring

In the post cushy phase we continue to monitor while fighting against pharmaceutical banditry which does everything to silence whistleblowers who denounce harmful drugs although they have been tested and studied in double blind randomized placebo and backchiche who knows for get permissions

We are not in the "cushy" phase,

And whether there is or not, does not change anything, it is still necessary to validate the treatments that are being tested. This is how they validated the dexa, this is how medicine advances (see your last example of the who in Africa), how we will advance in the fight against the coronavirus.

It's a question of choice.

For certain emergencies, certain treatments were administered urgently, without previous proof of their superiority and without a placebo group.

we must not go faster than the music ... : Wink:

A safe, effective and massively adopted vaccine against COVID-19 appears to be the only way to return to a situation without wearing a mask and without physical distancing. However, verifying the safety and efficacy of such a vaccine seems crucial, especially as the recommendation of imperfect vaccines can have serious side effects on vaccine acceptance in general.

Normal development of a vaccine 10 years.

For early treatments it is URGENT to take ALL THE TIME, to do lots of randomized double-blind studies against placebo ... and too bad for the deaths in the meantime: it's doliprane or nothing

But for the vaccine you can imagine that we are going to rush.

Just 2 weights 2 measures, which has been denounced since the start of the prohibitions on prescribing

Regarding the placebo and other trials, here is Professor Raoult's review of the method, instructive:

it's his anti-science side
Didier Raoult's methodological anarchism met with immense echo in the working classes and among conspirators: according to Ifop, 80% of “yellow vests” sympathizers are pro-Raoult. Adherence to chloroquine is strong in the National Rally and among Mélenchonists. As medicine becomes ultra-complex, therapeutic choices are now decided based on the Audience and likes on social networks. Éric Cantona, Jean-Marie Bigard, or even Frigide Barjot now provide virology courses in the media. https://www.valeursactuelles.com/clubva ... nce-120149
