if you want by decade, it's not complicated, you add a zero to all the figures on the vertical scale ... :)

Nan no kidding? : Cheesy: Yes and therefore this representation is rather misleading ...

I think that the majority of people read the annual figure and consider it to be decennial ... I was tricked, I do not think I am the only one ...

But what is the purpose of this kind of representation? Why not just talk about cumulative deaths over the decade?

The annual average does nothing at all AMHA!

Most people should read the broadly written headline "Global annual deaths from natural disasters, by decade" first.

The "decades" are on the x-axis, and the "annual deaths" on the y-axis. Yet simple : Lol: !

Yes simple but not clear! And I don't understand the point of averaging over a year the things we represent per decade ...

Anyway, we're not going to make cheese! Yes ?

Global warming is a great lever for the bosses' business. It is not in the pocket of the citizens that the billions of public money spent and to be spent on the climate will fall, it is on the contrary where it will come from, and it is in the pocket of the societies that are going to imply that they will fall. I would be boss, I would believe it!

Bugatti boss Stephan Winkelmann drives a Porsche every day. Even he can't afford to have a Chiron in a company car.

Stephan Winkelmann is the new boss of Bugatti, replacing Wolfgang Durheimer in this position (since his departure from Lamborghini then from the head of Audi Sport). As such, he obviously knows very well the models marketed by the Molsheim brand.

It also rolls frequently in models that leave the Alsatian factory. But at the level of its official cars, its supreme position is not enough to justify the use of a Bugatti as an everyday vehicle.

According to English journalists from Autocar, he is currently driving a Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo and previously had an Audi RS model. Given the astronomical price of a Bugatti Chiron (3 million euros in basic price), we understand that it is impossible to ride everyday with one of these models even for him.

Even the climate-skeptical US President Donald Trump got into it, this week supporting the "1.000 billion trees" initiative (to plant or save), based on a study by Swiss researchers published last year and hosted by the world press as a miracle solution ...

It is fashionable nowadays to give a lot of work to volunteers and to fuck unemployed people.

...
- Inflation target -
Technically, the central point will be the redefinition of "price stability", that is to say the sole mandate set for the ECB. This expression currently amounts to targeting inflation "close to but less than 2%", behind which the institute has been running in vain for seven years.

The Frankfurt institute could now introduce the idea of "symmetry", allowing the price index to deviate on either side of the 2% without immediately adjusting its policy.

"Expect regular rumors and hints from ECB officials over the coming months," said Carsten Brzeski, economist at ING bank.

Finally, Ms Lagarde promised to look into the side effects of the very accommodative policy pursued by the ECB for several years, in particular the negative rates much criticized in Germany and which certain banks pass on to their customers.

"We have had this for a long time, and it limits our ability to respond to possible exogenous shocks", agreed Ms. Lagarde, when her predecessor was struggling to insist that the ECB still had "its entire toolbox" to disposition.

While the main theme of the last Forum of Davos was climate change, most of the big bosses and rulers used unhealthy means of transport.

The great hypocrisy. While the Forum Davos has started its ecological transformation, for example by banning single-use utensils or by increasing the number of recycling bins, the means of transport used by the big bosses and invited politicians testify to a two-speed ecology, which does not does not seem to concern the most powerful, reports Ouest-France in particular.

A record of private jets
This year in Davos, the buffets offered "alternative proteins" (understand: without meat, note), exhibited carpets in peach fillets or algae-based paints. On the other hand, the guests did not abandon their private jets, helicopters or other limousines to go to the Swiss site. Worse, for this latest edition, a new record of 1 private jets has been reached in the airports surrounding the resort of the Swiss Alps, according to a press release from the charter company Air Charter Service (ACS), relayed by Ouest-France. It is 500 more than last year. Beyond the number of devices used, it is their particular carbon footprint that poses a problem, as France Inter points out. Indeed, if airports have made available a mixture of kerosene and biofuel (made from algae, oil or fermented rapeseed), a private jet emits much more carbon than an airliner for the same route.

Helicopter and limousine trips rather than train
Worse, the manager of Air Charter Service (ACS) Andy Christie points a race to whoever will have the biggest plane. "This is partly due to the long distances traveled but also probably to the fact that business rivals do not want to be outclassed," she said, in remarks relayed by Ouest-France. In addition, the eco-friendly journey of the prestigious Davos guests does not stop there. When they arrive at airports such as Zurich, just two hours by train from the site, they prefer to take the helicopter, before finishing by limousine.

An attitude that activist Greta Thunberg has not failed to denounce. "I find it insane that people gathered here in Davos to talk about the climate arrive by private jet," she lambasted.
