You have also certainly thought of putting "a fairing" so that the funny one does not slip a foot between the rear wheel and the new seat when you take a bump.

To strengthen the fork, I saw a guy who used an aluminum profile "in the shape of a honeycomb", which he (in force?) Tucked inside. Chai more if he had turned it to fit ??

In the Emmaus area, there are all kinds of bikes (+ or- in ruins) for 20 €. There will be one who has the right fork.

Here a reinforced African fork:

Ah no thought of that but I already briefed it well ... If you put your foot in the wheel you have more foot and maybe more head because it will certainly make us fall ... suddenly it makes very careful! : Mrgreen:

I had installed two on my Peugeot 103 fork which only had springs, it had improved things a lot.

In terms of performance, it is day and night: the mountain bike seems more robust and the trajectories safer / more precise! There is still a bit of bending related to functional games ...

On the other hand the shock absorber remains poor, so I ordered 1 real air shock absorber A5 RR1 125 mm (with double adjustable chamber) to help the front fork (which is only made up of AMHA springs, just like the rear shock absorber ..) ...

Then I will be ready for the Paris Dakar! Ah ah ah! : Cheesy: : Cheesy: : Cheesy:

To be continued...

I hope you will "cosmetize" the story a bit, because this is really not pretty!

It's my Madmax, Albator, Terminator bike ... your choice! : Mrgreen:

Anyway, I'm going to redo an integral painting ... one day ...

As for the washing machine damper, this is not well suited. In fact, they absorb roughly the same in compression and expansion.
To damp an unsprung mass such as a cycle wheel or car, you need significant damping in rebound and low in compression, otherwise it jumps .... and does not hold up better than without cushioning.

Um, isn't it the other way around?

A shock absorber must pick up the wheel as quickly as possible on the road: the rebound damping must be the fastest ... therefore the lowest ... hence the shock absorber + spring couple ...

Me I Goure?

As said above I ordered an A5 RR1 ... which should do the trick!
