1978 Home Insulation / Heating Information

by alexandre669 » 22/07/19, 09:38

Hello,

We are interested in buying a house in the Vosges mountains (altitude of around 400 m).

It is a house from 1978 and I have a lot of questions relating to insulation and heating

The attic was insulated with glass wool with approximately 20 cm (recent, clean).
The basement slab is insulated with polystyrene "insulation at 1 €" (not super clean but I intend to complete it).
As for the walls, the walls are, according to the seller, insulating agglomerates.

The heating, meanwhile, is electric and the current owner has added a stove, a log and a pellet stove (rather badly located in a corner of the house).

So I would like to know if this heating / insulation system is relevant or if we are going to the pipe breaker.
In addition, if necessary, insulation on the outside would suffice and in what price range we would be for a house of 150 m² on two floors.

thanks in advance

What does the DPE say? It is compulsory in case of sale ...

Insulating board in 1978? Uh what is an insulating chipboard?

I don't know if cellular concrete was already on the market ...

Take some pictures if possible?

Hello,

The DPE of 5 years ago indicated unknown thickness and "uninsulated" insulation ...
After the DPE, it is still very risky if I understand correctly.

Do you think it is a thermal strainer despite the other insulation work that has been done?

A recent DPE is mandatory before the sale ...

No ECD: you will see elsewhere ...
