Re: Notice, test and IR photos of the Arctic Air Ultra (mini evaporative cube air conditioning)
At home, I have about 15% humidity in the air and the heat is very bearable, if I put that (I tried a bigger), it's tropical hell!

15% is not possible: it is a desert humidity (hot or cold) that ... you would have chapped skin all the time!
35 to 40% you mean? Otherwise your sensor is certainly kidding!
Hold on July 24, 2019, it was the day of your registration! What have you drunk since !!

27% today. It rained not long ago, the soil is giving back some of its moisture. Otherwise, don't you know a "serious" brand of hygrometer?

Even below 30% it is not much !! The comfort zone is between 40 and 60% ... around 20 ° C ...
No idea on the brand I have been using "unbranded" mechanics for a few years ... If they are properly calibrated at the base, I think it is the top level of reliability compared to electronics!

I know, I'm telling you it's very dry around here. Otherwise thanks for the tip.

I'm going to take a photo of one of mine ... I think I found in a garden center ...
So it keeps the hot, the cold ... no need to change the batteries, no defective electronics ...
Many models also have a built-in mechanical thermometer function ...

Outside in the shady sun, it is a bit muggy:
A few minutes later in my living room (after stabilization of the measurement, this model moves quite quickly):
Go down below 25% in the shade indoors, I can tell you that it is very dry ...

Re: Notice, test and IR photos of the Arctic Air Ultra (mini evaporative cube air conditioning)
the problem with these devices is that they humidify the air.
then of course the ° C can drop slightly, BUT in saturated humidity, human perspiration no longer evaporates and calories either.
this is the well-known difficulty of hot and humid (tropical) climates which are very difficult for organisms to bear (hyperthermia and dehydration)
