The government's about-face was a little less than a year old (Mars), but obviously they reached an agreement with Electrabel (Engie) on who pays what.
Tihange 3 and Doel 4 (approximately 1000MW each) should therefore be extended even though they were due to stop in 2025 at the latest.

That's all we deserve... Eventually there will be a boomerang return to all the facilities that man has granted himself "on credit" over the geological time it took to generate these resources. mines and which are likely to continue for a long time... Until exhaustion in just a few centuries, since lobbies and corruption have made this "easy" access to energy essential in the current situation...

It is not a democratic choice but a necessity produced by the industry over the long term.
So "let's pray"...

Marine Tondelier would like to relaunch the anti-nuc fervor by telling nonsense, only the young ecologists are well aware of the realities. Nuclear power is relaunched all over the world and in France should we continue to scuttle our lead on this subject?

I guess it was done a long time ago and they couldn't go back, the Belgians...
On the other hand, the Russians are moving forward...

Nuclear power continues but not in Europe...thanks to German pro-coal green lobbyism! : Mrgreen:

Tihange 2 has just been shut down "permanently" in the midst of an energy crisis (probably a Belgian joke) 2 days ago: https://www.lesoir.be/492432/article/20 ... mardi-soir

After only 40 years of good and loyal service...(Fessenheim was at least 43 years old...I can't find the date of the first discrepancy...)

The Tihange 2 nuclear power plant was permanently shut down on Tuesday evening

In accordance with the law on the exit from nuclear power, the plant, with a power of 1.008 MW, was therefore definitively disconnected from the network on January 31, after 40 years of electricity production “in complete safety”.
