The fable of anthropogenic warming and the fight against CO2

Humanitarian catastrophes (including resource wars and conflicts), natural, climate and industrial (except nuclear or oil forum fossil and nuclear energy). Pollution of the sea and oceans.

on the existence of natural fluctuations that led to the medieval optimum (or Roman, or that of the Bronze Age) and to climatic cooling (the Little Ice Age, but also that of the High Middle Ages), he is also right .

He would be wrong to say that CO2 has no effect, but he does not say so explicitly, he seems to imply it but it is ambiguous. The reality is that there is very probably a superposition of the two, the exit of the PAG, attested from the XIXth century (beginning of the retreat of the glaciers in particular; the Mer de Glace stopped threatening the villages of the valley of its terrible glacial floods) was superimposed on anthropogenic warming, which only really began to be measurable in the second half of the twentieth century.

A remarkable analysis on "Climate hysteria, ecological dictatorship and inconvenient truth"
https://thewonderlusters.com/fr/hysteri ... range/amp/

This text is long and dense but intelligent, the intelligence consisting in explaining the personal context of the author (see his "cultural iceberg"), which provides the framework of the logic of his analysis.

A short excerpt, so true:
-------------------------------------------------- --------------------------
Climate alarmists: who are they?
Among the followers of the climate-hysterical sect, there are 3 categories of people: groupies, sympathizers, idiots.

Groupies

They are the unconditional ones, the militants, the zealous ones, the saviors of humanity, those without whom we would have already known the apocalypse. We should thank them because thanks to them, there is today a debate on global warming, but according to them, there should not be because no dispute should be possible: man is responsible, period. They claim the science is established and just repeat what they have heard. In reality, they never wondered if their opponents could be right because anyway, everything that comes out of their mouths is false.

They are of the substance of those Lenin cynically called "useful idiots", in reference to Western intellectuals who, in too much of a hurry to properly analyze the consequences of their actions, unwittingly defended a cause which contradicted their deep convictions by supporting the Communists. They are in good faith, but they are easily manipulated. They scream louder than everyone else. So to destabilize, even humiliate an opponent, they are very effective.

The sympathizers

This category includes most people from Western countries. It is made up of a lot of great people who are adept at having useful conversations on the subject of climate change. They are normal people who are almost as convinced as their zealous friends, but they are not ready to give up completely without compromising their quality of life. For example, they fly in guilt, but they put things into perspective by offsetting their carbon footprint after the fact.

These are the modern homo-sapiens-sapiens for whom the search for the truth is not a priority. Instead of preferring their reason, they use their emotions and survival instinct to make decisions. Their cognitive bias and non-rational judgment work together to affect their thinking capacity, thereby bypassing their logical process.

In short, they rely on what they perceive to accept a truth or draw hasty conclusions.

For example: natural disasters are deadlier, the planet is warming, CO2 in the atmosphere is increasing, the world population is growing. So man is responsible for global warming.

Another example : science proves it, politicians say it, the media reports it, schools teach it, there is consensus, so it's true.

The idiots

And then there are the idiots. Frankly, there isn't much hope for them. If you can get the tribe they belong to to change their position, they will follow you and probably won't even realize that they have changed position. They draw even more hasty conclusions than their sympathetic friends.

For example: Justin Trudeau is young, good looking and talks about ecology, so he would make a good prime minister.

"The Arctic sea ice could completely disappear within four years"
https://www.lemonde.fr/planete/article/ ... _3244.html

"We are heading for a collapse, which should occur in 2015 or 2016, and which will see the Arctic free of ice during the months of August and September. It's a global disaster."

Peter Wadhams, University of Cambridge, 2012.

For an alarmist imbecile, how many imbeciles of the same religion will have relayed his profession of faith?
And they call it science!

GuyGadebois, always to drop his dung ad hominem attacks, with the blessing of the "moderators" of this forum. It is that this sophistic method is part of ecofascism, therefore normal here, as well as swallowing doomsday predictions of 2012 invalidated 4 years later, and to continue to believe in it 9 years later, despite the facts, since it is is in the dogmas of their religion.

We do not care that forecasts for 2012 were wrong. We are in 2021 and it's a disaster ... Techo-fascists of the "Blédina" type are good for the cart, period. : Mrgreen:

After the profession of faith by Peter Wadhams of Cambridge University, "Arctic sea ice could completely disappear within four years"he said in 2012, which we have evidence today that it was completely unfounded and stupid, here is that of GuyGadeboisLeRetour, certainly no scientific university,"It's chaos" : roll: : Lol:. How many fools to believe it too? Well as much as for the first. Among devotees, facts don't matter. Only faith.

Another message from ecofascism!
Like the Islamist jihadists, would our eco-jihadist be motivated by a few virgins who will be waiting for him in the martyrs' paradise, in thanks for the launch of his fatwas? It is because he thinks he is the gugus. : Lol:

Don't try to turn things around, it doesn't take, it never took! Your statements on humanity are more than telling, "useless" such as meter readings, clog makers (non-exhaustive list of which you keep the flavor) through "we will be eternal", there is no picture. If there is one fascist (worse, even) fundamentalist idolatrous, blind and deaf (alas not dumb) on a crusade, it is you, despicable, not me!
