Gas water heater (Saunier Duval vesugaz) leak and flame

by Romaric » 05/11/18, 09:39

Hello,

I have a gas water heater saunier duval vesugaz.

the latter smells of gas from time to time but we did not detect a leak with the "bubble shroud".
we lit it only when we used it and then cut everything.

Some time later, a flame appeared under the hood outside the burners.
This flame comes out of a vent (a priori) of the gas mechanism.
Not knowing me in water heater I have some difficulties to give you the name of the parts.

I do not have the finances to pay a repairer, and I like to tinker.

Does anyone have an idea about the origin of my problem? Is there a membrane or a seal to incriminate? what besides the disassembly and reassembly should not cost well ???

I add two photos to illustrate all that
cordially

Romaric
