Vegetable garden of the (super) lazy in the 04 (800m)
Re: Laziness of the (super) lazy in the 04 (800m)
It is a tropical, with a high "zero vegetation" (temperature above which the plant does not grow) high. Around 15 ° C.

Re: Laziness of the (super) lazy in the 04 (800m)
The salad transplanted in October has developed well by supporting the rigors of winter in chests not protected by taparels.
A good omen for 2021.
It will be necessary to fill up with sowing in autumn 2020 to have a hundred consumables at the end of winter instead of 3 or 4 as this year ...

Re: Laziness of the (super) lazy in the 04 (800m)
As I did not have the feeling (compared to the house sensor) that we had fallen below -10.9 min, I have not recovered the readings since the previous reading on February 8.
But beware the mini 2019 had been -15.3 on March 27 .... so we are far from being out of the hostel
For the record March 2019
That said, we can hope that everything that held up to -11 will hold up to -15, except I think the beans where they are located and perhaps the peas .....

OKAY. Some "spikes" at around - 10 ° C for the moment. This locates the possibilities with this combination: variety / this type of chassis

Re: Laziness of the (super) lazy in the 04 (800m)
That's it.
The goal was to make several cultivation and sowing tests under these protection conditions
Bean, pea, salad, radish, carrot, spinach, cabbage crops (although we are sure of the result)
The surprises were the lifting of the salad sown on December 8 (low chest) and beans sown on the surface on November 23 (high chest without taparel)
Ditto for spinach sown in place of potatoes and unprotected (er a little 4cm of hay) on December 17 and which start to rise: 2/3 cm
I have reseeded this weekend and I will do it again at the end of the month always in the place left free by the potatoes
The surface sowing in the box on November 9 is about 6cm
The good surprise is the keeping of the beans in the 2 chests: they are actually in bloom today.
Some have broken but are leaving.
It is the triplets (8-9-10 and 12-13-14 February) that hurt them.
A night at -10 goes by but 3 in a row it starts to fear.
Good surprise also for the peas (sowing of October 14) always nickels in several boxes.
BUT nothing says that this would provide a significant advance compared to a sowing in early March for example
Other pea surface sowing test on December 17 (chest without taparel) it germinates

That's a lot of good surprises anyway!
One of the "advantages" of PP is that you "put little" (apart from the seeds, part of which can be easily produced), you can try a lot and often, without getting upset!
And suddenly we realize that by dint of being infantilized by the guides, we miss a lot of opportunities; a sort of mental self-censorship (the famous "it will never work" from the Renault ad!). Even if it only works every other time, you can see the glass half full instead of getting excited about the half empty glass ...

Yes, it's true.
For the salad I was pretty confident.
Where I'm much more interested is for peas because I love it.
I had already done much more than normal "we are told".
But there if I can do it “12 months out of 12” (to put it simply) it is another matter.
As usual, let's wait for the plate all the same, or let's say the harvest before drawing too many shots on the comet.

Re: Laziness of the (super) lazy in the 04 (800m)
Before taking up some of these cultures in detail, a small loose album.
Dwarf peas in bloom just like beans.
Garlic put down which briskly pierces the hay.
Radishes that grow nicely and some of which are good to eat.
Finally the outdoor sowing (pending that of the trunk, much more advanced) of spinach which has risen under nighttime temperatures often much below 0.
