Hello
This is exactly what I want to do next year because it is true that the Chinese filter pumps are really totally ineffective. Even turning 12 hours a day is not enough.
Why put on a skimmer?

Hi pitmix!

Yes Chinese pool pumps are worth nothing!

The skimmer is much more effective than a submerged suction to clean floating particles ... and on an outdoor swimming pool it is not what is missing ...

The season is going to end ... the cartridge filter at 3 euros will hold another season after a little rinsing :)

Feedback on a Chinese wood router purchased from Leroy Merlin a decade ago ...
The first succeeded in making 1m 70 of 19mm groove in an oak beam, replaced as a guarantee the second did not even go after the running-in procedure indicated in the instructions, the third only succeeded in doing 'barely a meter of groove .... The I went crazy ... The guy in the sav ended up admitting to me that as long as there was one on the pallet they would continue to sell them and if luckily there were 10% who did not return the pallet was paid ... I got my money back + voucher (for travel and lost time) bought the 1st price model from a major brand (a B&D and I still have it ... For the moment it must have done at least 5000 times the work of the others ... And without taking the plates of the collector in the face ...

Good evening, the skimmer does not seem original with the self-supporting swimming pool,
it seems rather planned for a rigid swimming pool, here is a blog of assembly of swimming pools
or they put a special skimmer for freestanding pools, of course they also tinkered on their pools

best regards, good evening

Yes it was not original at all, I found it at 15 €, so I adapted it ... That's why I told you about it here!

in general the value of the original capacitor is the best for the best start

the starting capacitors are generally self-healing: this means that when there is an overvoltage the burnt out parts are permanently disconnected so the value of the capacitor decreases and the motor has less starting torque until it does not start at all

so if with a new capacitor of the same value it looks very useless to look further

for those who want to try to understand, connect the old capacitor to the 230V with an amp meter to measure how much it consumes ... it must consume I = 2pi.fCV if it consumes less it is dead
