A joke between mechanics....this takes place on a military base in Djibouti where the mild climate is legendary, especially in full sun (between 40 and 50°).
A mechanic is changing a tire on a (GMC?), for those who don't know, misstep being lazy and too skinny...especially with the dismantling equipment present (no machine). When all that remains is to reinflate the tire, another mechanic finds an excuse to take the worker away from his tire. During this time another sidekick pokes the big mallet which is used to bring the sidewall of the tire into the rim and hides it inside the tire to be inflated.
The tire fitter comes back a moment later, inflates the tire and puts it back on the GMC, no problem. At the end of the intervention, he will store his GMC a few distances away. And there, surprise his GMC is undriveable so much the steering wheel shakes as soon as it exceeds 40 km/h. He returns to the garage completely distraught, what did I break, twist, forget ??????? Of course the pranksters let him look, reminding him that the sergeant was going to celebrate him as soon as he returned, etc...
Not knowing what to do, the panicked mechanic wants to re-dismount his tire. But where is this ...Put.in... mallet????? And the jokers show him the tyre.... Afterwards everyone went to hide because the tools were flying in all directions in the workshop....
