Tonight's theme: the little jazzy pearls of old French cinema thrillers. Difficult to choose as we are spoiled for choice.
We can't ignore "Touchez pas au grisbi" (1954), a rather captivating theme by Jean Wiener and Jean Wetzel:

Lighter and haunting, "Le monocle rit jaune", 1954, by Michel Magne, very prolific and creative in these years:

Even TV got involved, with the theme of the series "The last 5 minutes" (Marc Lanjean):

Don't you find the beginning of the theme of this series extremely similar to that of "Lady Sings The Blues" by Billie Holiday"? Here we are in American cinema. Limit plagiarism, no?

Bonjour.

Here are two more songs that I like:

The second is vulgar while the first is very relaxing : Mrgreen:

Kind regards.

The title of Billie Holiday appeared 1 year earlier in 1956 (than the initial version in 1957). Surprised?
