Well, just to annoy a little and possibly make you think...
In its infographic, Remundo tells us about 300.000ha dedicated to the production of bioethanol, i.e. 1% of the French SAU.
So 300.000ha equipped with photovoltaic panels, that would produce 300GWp in my opinion, 300TWh per year in France, twice as much according to Remundo according to a recent exchange (220W/m2 according to him for 100 according to me).
I don't know what we would do with 300GWp in the summer, but we have time to think about it...
But the question is to realize that photosynthesis has a pitiful yield compared to photovoltaics. when the goal is to produce energy. Certainly, it is not the same investment either.
Growing crops to produce ethanol instead of covering the same surface in PV is just an aberration on a strictly energy level.

Before being crucified, dragged in the mud, torn, what do I know, I would like to point out that of course I am in favor of PV equipment as a priority on artificial surfaces, private roofs, shopping centers, offices, car parks, edges of major roads or highways, polluted soils, etc.

I was right on the choice "energy crops" vs PV on agricultural land.

When we only see this meeting from a sporting angle, the Arab-Muslim world sees it as revenge and a religious and civilizational struggle against the West.
