But of course, no one is sure of anything on this earth;

Even some theories of physics can be challenged by new discoveries. So, on the induced effect of the slowdown of the Gulf Stream, it is clear that there is no certainty. : Mrgreen:

I think above all that it is not for nothing that we put the supercomputers on the resolution / forecast of the climate: these are undoubtedly among the most complex problem existing ... therefore ultimately with the most uncertainties. No one is to blame for this, which is not the case for those who claim that the greenhouse effect of anthropogenic origin is a fiction!

Do not forget that a flight of a butterfly at the end of the earth can cause a storm thousands of kms away, this is what some believe.

So the balance is very fragile, all the factors must be considered plausible with a lot of humility on the part of the little Earth people that we are. : Mrgreen:

Excellent article.

I would prefer that he is mistaken if only for our children (I have 4 who are likely to see 2050) and that the theory of the Russian comes to attenuate that of James Lovelock, doctor disaster : Arrow:

"It reminds me of 1938: people, politicians, everyone knew that war was coming, but no one was acting sensibly. Our situation is similar: disaster can happen suddenly."

It fights the illusions of sustainable development or wind turbines, calls for a decrease in material consumption, for a "retirement" from economism - and notes the inertia of industrial companies. The disaster is at the door and we are doing nothing.

He talks a bit like N. Hulot in "Titanic syndrome". : Evil:
