Pollution auto proposal from Brussels: JT FR2 20h 19.12

by jean63 » 20/12/07, 00:15

In the JT FR2 20 p.m. this evening:

http://jt.france2.fr/20h/

=> click on "Auto pollution: proposal from Brussels"

and also on FR3: http://jt.france3.fr/1920/

=> click on "EU: draft European plan against CO2 emissions"

It is about the article of the FP which I posted the day before yesterday concerning the dissatisfied (what do I say the anger : Evil: ) Germans (politicians and industrialists) on measures to reduce CO2 emissions for vehicles from 2012:
https://www.econologie.com/forums/auto-les-c ... t4481.html

Quite edifying: the Germans known for their ecological fiber, are very big polluters (powerful and heavy cars + motorways without speed limit + coal-fired power stations to produce electricity).

Too bad for them, but it's like for the USA, as soon as it touches the wallet (for them: export of their superb luxury vehicles and risk of constraint on speed on the highway), they are no longer at all agreement to participate in the reduction of CO2 emissions.

In the end, maybe our little French cars have a bright export future : Mrgreen:

After that, how can you believe for a moment that meetings like Bali are useful for anything: that wishful thinking : Evil:

Only when he has brought down the last tree, the last river contaminated, the last fish caught that man will realize that money is not edible (Indian MOHAWK).

The report clearly confirms the AFP dispatch found on the internet.

Well, yes!
I've been trying to get the message across for "years", look at these figures just for power generation:

France: 90 gr of CO2 / kwhe
Germany: 600 gr of CO2 / kwhe

It's clear, but on the other hand we have potentially very dangerous nuclear power plants + nuclear waste that we do not know what to do with. We will send them by train to Siberia on a huge open-air "parking lot" (seen this on TV) where the barrels rust quietly but surely.
