I was on skype with a friend who was passionate about science and econology (so one of us actually, and I'm going to suggest he join us) who moved to Canada for work, and he just told me something that could revolutionize our lives and the problems of pollution:

Researchers have managed to teleport a small object.

For now, I do not know much, but I find it so amazing and exciting to read.
Imagine what we could do in a short time? (No more fuel to transport goods, saving time ...)

The last article I read about the progress of teleportation is entitled "teleportation is possible between light and matter"
The first quantum teleportation between photons and atoms has been carried out in Denmark. Science fiction fans will however be disappointed, because as explained Eugene Polzik, the Niels Borhr Institute in Copenhagen, this is not a new type of transportation: only the quantum state of the object is teleported ... etc.
